The Azimut 45 Atlantis is a 47-foot sports cruiser yacht launched by the Italian boat building firm in late 2019. A sleek and low-slung exterior profile by the Neo Design Group is paired with high performance and sports-car like agility for a leisure yacht of unbeatable style and speed. An upgrade on the popular Atlantis 43, the Atlantis 45 won the award for “Best Interior Design” at the 2019 World Yacht Trophies held in Cannes and was also nominated for the title of European Powerboat of the Year at the 2020 Düsseldorf Boat Show.
Azimut Yachts have done their best to provide plenty of outdoor leisure and entertaining space across the teak-lined main deck of the Atlantis 45. Out on the foredeck there is a modular sunpad big enough for a party of four to enjoy al-fresco sunbathing and picnicking, safely enclosed by stainless steel guardrails. On the aft deck there is a transom sofa connecting to an L-shaped dining sofa with an extending table, a wet bar console with a grill, an elevated rear sunpad and steps down to a full-beam, hydraulic swimming platform that is one the largest open spaces across the entire vessel. There is also a spacious tender garage down here, a must on a sports vessel, that is capable of holding an 8-foot RIB. The internal cockpit is open to the elements at the rear, but comes with a steel-supported hardtop with a retractable fabric sunroof above the helm. Here you will discover a pair of comfortable, upholstered piloting chairs and a cocoon-style daybed, along with steps down to the lower deck.
In order to provide more living space upstairs, the galley kitchen and dinette with sofa has been shifted to the lower level, but is generously lit thanks to knife-insert windows that strake along the sides of the GRP hull. The galley is lined in light oak and stocked with the very latest Miele appliances such as a two-zone ceramic hob, a convection oven and a fridge-freezer. An amidship guest cabin with a Jack-and-Jill en suite features three single beds, a nightstand and plenty of storage space, while the bow-berth master stateroom with en suite is large enough to host a queen-sized island bed, from where you can rest easy and gaze out of a ceiling skylight.
A pair of Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines can roar the Azimut Atlantis 45 to top speeds of 34 knots, and the boat is more than capable of sustaining comfortable cruising speeds of almost 27 knots. What is just as impressive, however, is the acceleration speed, with this boat going from zero to 20 knots in as little as 11 seconds. And though you will not be crossing the Atlantic in this model, at cruising speeds of 9 knots the Atlantis 45 has an impressive range of some 466 nautical miles. A hard-chine planing hull with a variable deadrise was built entirely in-house, and allows this yacht is slip through the waves with ease, while the use of a Penta joystick, Penta trim controls and a Gold Package navigation and monitoring system from Garmin offer supreme agility and superb chart plotting.
