The Azimut 43S is a 43-foot sport cruiser yacht that was produced by the Avigliana, Italy-based boat builders between 2006 and 2011. Designed around speed, fun and luxurious living, the Azimut 43S is the perfect power yacht for day trips, weekend cruising and tracing figure-of-eights out on the water. Whether you are looking at the 43S or another Azimut Yacht for sale on the market, SI Yachts has the expertise to assist you in your purchase.
A striking Stefano Righini exterior with a sharp, arrowhead bow, a painted hull, cresting wave windows and glazed fins marks the Azimut 43S out as one of the sportiest yachts available on the market today. On the foredeck there is a double sunpad enclosed by high stainless-steel guardrails, while wide side-decks lead back to a teak-lined aft cockpit with a U-shaped transom sofa, a coffee table and a wet-bar console with an electric grill. There is also a hydraulic passarelle back here, as well as side steps down to an almost full-beam Opacmare swimming platform that doubles as a tender lift.
While many sport yachts of this size leave the main deck cockpit open to the elements at the rear, the Azimut 43S makes use of triple sliding glass doors for added protection from adverse conditions and climate-controlled piloting in colder climes. Yet the cockpit never feels cramped thanks to expansive glazing and a retractable sunroof. The Carlo Galeazzi-crafted interiors feature plenty of glazed dark wengewood, stainless steel fixtures and contrasting light leather for an unashamedly contemporary look. Upon entering the salon you will discover a love-seat to port and a low-slung U-shaped sofa with a coffee table to starboard, while at the front of the cockpit sits a raised helmstation with two-seater dark leather piloting sofa. On the lower deck lobby, and within eyeshot of the salon, is a kitchen galley with stainless steel worktops, a three-zone Ceran hob, a combination microwave oven, a large sink and a Vitrifrigo fridge. A popular two stateroom layout on this level ensures a comfortable night’s rest for up to 4 guests, across an amidship en-suite twin with mullioned windows and a master stateroom with a double bed and knife-insert glazing towards the bow. Bathrooms boast circular shower cubicles and tempered glass or stone wash basins.
Of course, the Azimut 43S is primarily built around high-performance speed and handling, and was one of the first Azimut yachts to make use of next-generation Volvo Penta pod-drive engines. The pair of Volvo D6 IPS 600 engines provide top speeds of 34 knots, with consistent cruising speeds of around 30 knots. The yacht is incredibly versatile out on the water, and benefits from Side Power bow thrusters, Bennett trim tab controls, an optional Volvo Penta joystick and power-assisted steering for agile and nimble turning. The Azimut 43S also comes equipped with a Raymarine navigation system and a Simrad radio for confident piloting as you make your way to the coastal destinations of your choice in double quick time.
