A quadruple-width sunpad with headrests out on the foredeck provides the ideal spot for at-sea sunbathing, with stainless-steel grabrails for safety, while generously proportioned side decks lead back to a teak-lined cockpit to stern. Sitting under a partially glazed awning, the cockpit features a hook-shaped transom sofa in waterproof leatherette or beige upholstery that surrounds an extending dining table, while there is also space out here for an optional wet-bar station. The sofa connects to a triple-width elevated sunpad with views out to stern that sits above an adaptable transom space that can be used as storage or as a crew quarters. Side steps back here lead down to a full-beam hydraulic bathing platform from where you can dangle your feet in the water, set off on swimming trips or simply use to lift a Yamaha water tender or equivalent.
Sliding glass doors lead guests into a well-appointed aft-galley with striped oak cabinets, marble-effect Corian work surfaces, a two-zone induction hob, a Siemens combination oven, a stainless-steel sink, secure cabinets and a full-height fridge-freezer tower. Across from this sits a U-shaped leather sofa and a large timber dining table, while a few steps forward lead you to a spacious salon with another U-shaped sofa, a loveseat and a bespoke coffee table. This room has an abundance of natural light thanks to panoramic side windows and a mullioned, above helm sunroof, while recessed lighting generates an atmospheric mood at night. A starboard side helm station, meanwhile, impresses with Raymarine multi-function display screens, thruster controls, VHF radio, a Penta joystick, trim tabs and chrome-lined analogue instrumentation.
A three-stateroom and two-head layout on the lower-deck leaves plenty of space for guests to unwind. A starboard twin berth with a side locker sits adjacent to a VIP double stateroom with a pair of closets, reverse-angled mullions, a skylight, an island bed, hidden storage and a large en-suite. The full-beam owner’s stateroom sits amidship and features booth-style seats, a pop-up vanity station, a double island bed, pale oak cabinets, triple mullions and a timber and marble-lined bathroom with a shower room lined in non-slip teak.
The Absolute 55 STY zips across the water at top speeds of up to 42 knots thanks to triple 435MHP Volvo Penta D6-IPS600 pod-drive diesel engines. Cruising speeds of around 33 knots allow for a range of well over 300 nautical miles, proof positive that this yacht finds the sweet spot between raw speed and long-distance stamina.
