The Absolute 53 STY is a 54-foot coupe-style sports cruiser yacht that was produced by the iconic Italian yacht-building firm Absolute between the years of 2011 and 2012. Combining the performance of a sports car, the sharp aerodynamics of an arrow and the luxury of a penthouse suite, this light-filled, elegant and sporty model remains a popular choice on the used and charter markets to this day. And it was an instant hit with industry insiders upon launch, winning the prize for “Most Innovative Yacht” in its class at the 2011 Lux Media Group awards held in Cannes.

Two double-width, cushioned sunpads out on the foredeck offer supreme views out across the bow, from where you can relax and unwind for hours on end in unimpeded sunshine. To the stern there is a teak-lined cockpit sitting under a partially glazed overhang where you will enjoy sitting on an L-shaped sofa and enjoying meals placed on an extending timber dining table. Also on offer here is a wet-bar station with an integrated electric grill and chilled storage, and side steps down to a robust hydraulic swimming platform that can be used to store a modern jet tender.
Sliding glass doors lead into a spacious and light-filled salon with pale oak cabinetry, darker oak floors and a low-slung white leather or upholstered sofa with a table that can be raised or lowered to be used for coffee or dining. A couple of steps up lead to a helm station with twin bench-style cushioned seating, an above-helm sunroof and a dashboard with two Raymarine touchscreens, thruster controls, Penta joystick handling, VHF radio, a leather-clad steering wheel and plenty of analogue instrumentation.
An open galley with an atrium-like feel on the lower deck boasts white Corian counter-tops, veneered cabinets, a combination oven, a large induction hob, a molded sink, steel fixtures and an American-style double-width fridge-freezer tower. Amidship there is a twin room with a full-height closet and mirrored wall panels, as well as a double cabin with cushioned wall panels, masses of storage and an en-suite. Towards the bow another double bedroom features a skylight, rectangular hull windows, two closets and a bathroom with stone counters and a walk-in shower cubicle.
Top of the range engine options include three 435MHP Volvo Penta D6-IPS600 diesel engines for top speeds in excess of 30 knots and cruising speeds in the mid-20-knot range, though a less expensive option is to equip this yacht with just two engines. A fuel tank holding 450 US Gallons, meanwhile, should keep you out on the water for days on end without needing to refuel, and a category B offshore hull proves ideal for coastal cruising.
