The Sanlorenzo X-Space is a 143-foot expedition yacht that is set to be launched by the iconic Italian yacht-building company Sanlorenzo in 2023. Built over four-levels of exquisite living space and bearing a towering, curved profile, this Sanlorenzo yacht clocks in with a remarkable volume of 495GT for masses of chic, comfortable and superbly stylish living space. Innovative features like a beach-club with fold-out terraces, a floating swimming pool and a side-launching tender garage are more than matched by a displacement steel hull and robust engines tailor-made for long-distance voyages across the oceans.
Four levels of sun terraces to aft begin at the lofty teak-lined flybridge, where guests can enjoy convivial drinks stirred down at a wet bar while seated on a pair of sofas and gaze out to stern through a glazed rear wall. On the upper deck one-level down there is a hanging sunpad that connects to a sofa and room for a dining table. The huge main deck terrace features a shaded zone with a marble-topped oval dining table and a sofa, leading out to a swish sunpad area that benefits from padded, drop-down gunwales to expand the space. To stern there is a 194-foot floating infinity pool with glass walls and side steps down to a water-level beach club with a transom door that opens to reveal a hidden cove ideal for relaxation. A Side opening garages allow room for a pair of oversized jet tenders and plenty of watersports equipment.
Interiors, meanwhile, are the work of renowned designer Piero Lissoni, who has opted for free-flowing layouts with plenty of glass walls that pair with floor-to-ceiling glazing to accentuate the feeling of light and space. Interiors, fabrics, furnishings and surfaces are subject to customization, but lucky owners can expect four levels of exotic hardwoods, treasured marble surfaces, frescoed bulkheads, leather sofas, hand-stitched carpets, bespoke coffee tables and plush accents throughout. The enclosed portion of the bridge houses a remarkable upper lounge with stunning views as well as a captain’s quarters and a sedate pilothouse with a ship-style helm station finely tuned for oceanic cruising. The upper-level, meanwhile, is an entirely private space for the owner, including a lounge, a full-beam forward bedroom, decadent bathing facilities, a refined office, a walk-in dressing room bigger than most cabins and a 323-square foot private foredeck lounge with sunpads and a jacuzzi.
Down on the main deck this yacht’s dimensions really become clear. Sliding glass doors and widescreen glazing combine with cutaway bulwarks for plenty of natural light in the salon, where plush sofas are joined by glass-framed coffee tables. A formal dining room, a galley and a forward lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows and full-beam dimensions make up the front portion of this deck. One level down and there are four more huge en-suite double cabins for eight overnight guests, while a crew quarters for up to seven, and additional storage facilities round out the offering down here.
The Sanlorenzo X-Space is powered by a pair of MAN V12 1066kW engines and a fuel tank holding 50,000 liters of juice for top speeds of approximately 15 knots and a range of around 4,000 nautical miles at an economy cruise of 10 knots.
