The Sanlorenzo SX76 is a 77-foot luxury motoryacht with a flybridge that was launched by the iconic Italian yacht-building firm Sanlorenzo in 2018. A collaborative effort between the in-house Sanlorenzo team, naval architects Studio Zuccon and interior stylist Piero Lissoni, this superbly modern vessel catches the eye with its sleek and assertive looks. Forward-sloped windscreen glazing on two levels and an aggressive bow-entry combine with sheer lines that descend to transom, a shimmering metallic livery and masses of panoramic glazing for a look at the cutting-edge of contemporary style. Designed for convivial relaxation, and boasting a plethora of minimalist living spaces, the SX76 nonetheless features the sort of rugged hull and robust engines capable of long-distance cruising.
A fiberglass hard-top with a louvred sunroof sits elegantly over the partially enclosed, teak-lined skybridge on this model. There is room to the entirely glazed rear of the bridge for a set of sun-loungers, while further forward and nestled under the roof are a pair of plush sofas and a bespoke, glass-topped coffee table. Alternatively, you could use this space for an eight-seater dining table and a wet-bar with chilled storage, an icemaker and a Kenyon grill. At the front of the bridge sits a port-side upper helm with dramatic views out to sea. This helm functions as the main piloting station for the boat, and features a Raymarine Gold package with touch-screen monitors, stabilizer switches, a joystick, bow and stern thruster controls, a high-speed compass and DSC VHF radio. The helm is linked to a pair of Volvo Penta IPS3 1200 900HP diesel engines with a maximum speed of 22 knots and competitive cruising speeds. At an economy cruise pace of 11 knots, you can expect a range of 615 nautical miles, making this yacht a superb option for ambitious island-hopping adventures.
The stunning foredeck lounge one level down benefits from high gunwales providing protection from spray as you sprawl across the casbah-style sunpad fitted up against the bow. Alternatively take aperitifs at the U-shaped, Portuguese Bridge-style sofa a couple of steps back and pop up the Bimini for additional shade. Make your way to the aft-cockpit and discover sheltered space for a dining table or a set of armchairs as well as a transom sofa and steps down to one of the largest water-level beach clubs on the market today at approximately 200 square feet. Down here you will find an actuating swim platform that extends by half a meter, vast tender storage and room for sun-loungers.
Sliding glass doors to the main deck salon combine with floor-to-ceiling glazing and open bulwarks for irresistible views out to sea while in here. Buyers can customize this space to their heart’s content, but typical salons feature pale oak floors, plush modern furnishings, metallic and marbled accents and room for your choice of bespoke sofas. Divide this space up between salon, galley and forward dining lounge with a Tabu Tai walnut table, or simply utilize it as one free-flowing space with an open island kitchen up front. Galley equipment will feature Miele appliances, huge refrigerators, a trash compactor and high-quality work surfaces from Boffi.
A sculptural staircase that would not look out of place in a modern art galley leads both to the bridge and the lower deck. Two layout options on the lower deck can be adopted based on whether you are expecting plenty of guests or prefer a bit more space to breathe. On the latter version you can expect a vast forward stateroom with a sofa, a walk-in closet, a king-sized bed and a spa-like bathroom, along with a day-head, additional storage, an aft crew quarters for two and a roomy lower lounge. On the former edition you will lose some storage space and the lounge but gain two en-suite twin cabins. On both editions you can enjoy a full-beam owner’s stateroom amidship with plush surrounds, a king-sized bed, metallic accents, huge twin mullion hull windows, a side-sofa, a walk-in dressing room and a semi-open bathroom with a wet-room shower and stone sinks.
