The Sanlorenzo SL108 is a 108-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was launched by the award-winning Italian yacht-building firm Sanlorenzo in 2008. A streamlined profile with wraparound glazing, a curvaceous superstructure and chic, all-white gel-coating is complemented by a more traditional and sophisticated interior, while outdoor spaces boast a contemporary and minimalist feel. A rugged GRP hull, superb build-quality and robust engines ensure that this yacht will remain a popular choice on the used and charter markets for years to come.
The open-air, teak-lined flybridge ensures that nothing will come between you and your summer tan, though a Bimini roof can be erected in seconds for additional shade. To aft there is room for a set of sun-loungers and a timber-framed jacuzzi spa-pool or room for tender storage with a davit, while further forward there is an L-shaped sofa surrounding an extending dining table and a forward sunpad. The walk-in wet-bar on this bridge is more like an outdoor kitchen, boasting a sink, solid counter-tops and plenty of refrigeration as well as an ice-chipper, a barbecue grill and a teppanyaki hot-plate. The upper helm sits to starboard, right next to a companionway door that leads into the raised wheelhouse. In this climate-controlled space you will discover a pair of Raymarine E120 monitors, VHF radio, CCTV feedback, bow thruster controls, a high-speed compass and a steering wheel.
Out on the foredeck there is a triple-width daybed with views out across the bow, while in the shaded aft-cockpit there is a transom sofa and a stand-alone dining table for up to ten. Curved side steps lead down to a bathing platform to stern with access to a transom garage capable of hosting a Williams jet tender.
Gently curved sliding glass doors combine with wraparound side glazing to illuminate a salon lined in warm mahogany or Siam teak with wengewood accents, steel fixtures and bronze paneling. Upon entry there is a bar to port with a frosted glass serving platform, while further forward you will lounge on an L-shaped leather sofa and a pair of armchairs or enjoy delicious meals at a ten-seater, titanium-topped dining table. At the front of the main deck sits a full-beam owner’s stateroom with a king-sized bed, a study, a walk-in dressing room, a sofa, a sloping forward window and a huge bathroom lined in marble and timber with a waterfall shower room.
On the lower deck you will find an enclosed galley with pale granite work surfaces, a double steel sink and appliances from GE and Miele. There are also three en-suite staterooms on this level for six more overnight guests, with each room boasting wide portholes, plenty of timber-lined storage, plush carpeting and shower facilities. A spacious crew quarters with its own dining and head facilities as well as extra storage for long-haul trips sits to aft.
A pair of MTU 16V 2000 M93 diesel engines produce top speeds of 30 knots and cruising speeds of 27 knots. Glide along at an economy cruise pace of just 11 knots and you will enjoy a nautical range that should keep you out on the water for lengthy expeditions before needing to refuel.
