The Sanlorenzo SL106 Asymmetric is a 105-foot luxury superyacht with a flybridge that was launched by the award-winning Italian yacht-building firm Sanlorenzo in 2022. Sleek lines and an assertive profile are the work of Studio Zuccon, with a classic exterior that conceals palatial interiors, cool and contemporary lounge spaces and a number of radical design interventions that set this yacht apart from the pack. Foremost among these is the unique asymmetric layout that eliminates one of the side-decks to create wider, more free-flowing living spaces, while one-way glazed bulwarks and a pop-out balcony further accentuate this spaciousness.
A sculptural hardtop with opening sun-louvres hangs artfully above a teak-lined bridge to give guests control over the amount of sun or shade they would like. Up here there is an entirely glazed rear wall so that guests in the aft sunlounge can enjoy views out to sea, while a Paola Lenti L-shaped sofa, a Boffi wet-bar with a grill and ice-chipper, and a dining table complete the relaxation options. Up front there is a starboard upper helm, while a companionway door leads into a sedate and climate-controlled pilothouse with a dashboard boasting four Raymarine touchscreens, bow and stern thruster controls, a trim-tab system, stabilizer switches, joystick handling, VHF radio and a high-speed compass.
A secluded foredeck lounge impresses with a Portuguese Bridge-style sofa facing a central sunpad island for up to four sunworshippers, while the sheltered aft-cockpit boasts a cooler space to enjoy outdoor dining at a transom sofa with an attached table. Side steps lead down to a hydraulic swimming platform and access to a huge tender garage capable of hosting a pair of jet tenders.
Floor-to-ceiling windows, sliding glass doors and one-way glazed bulkheads offer an unparalleled sense of space in the main deck salon, a sense that is only enhanced thanks to the unique asymmetric layout that sits flush against the port-side bulwark. A drop-down gunwale on the starboard side, meanwhile, offers the chance for morning espresso and an afternoon aperitif on a floating cocktail terrace. In the salon you will encounter an authentic timber sole, steel and mirrored accents, a copper bulkhead frieze, hand-stitched leather panels, a glass-topped dining table and a set of plush sofas. Further forward you will enjoy cooking lavish meals in a galley with beige lacquer cupboards, granite work surfaces and Miele appliances, while at the front of the main deck sits a full-beam owner’s stateroom. This opulent suite features angled windows, a work-desk, a king-sized bed, a skylight, seating, a walk-in dressing room and a large bathroom lined in Silk Georgette marble with a wet-room shower.
Down on the lower deck there is sleeping space for eight more overnight guests across four en-suite double cabins, while across the front portion of the hull there is a crew quarters with its own galley and bathroom facilities for up to seven members of staff.
Buyers can choose between twin Caterpillar C32B ACERT engines or a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M96 diesels for top speeds of up to 28 knots and cruising speeds of 24 knots. At an economy cruise speed of 11 knots, you will enjoy a range of well over 1,000 nautical miles. The SL106A will also be the first Sanlorenzo yacht to feature Siemens methanol fuel-cell technology for emission-free cruising when the diesel engines are turned off.
