The Sanlorenzo SD96 is a stunning 91.86-foot luxury motoryacht released by iconic Italian yacht firm Sanlorenzo is 2019. Featuring three splendid decks, it is no surprise this yacht won Best Layout Trophy at the 2019 World Yachts Trophies. The aft cockpit is a cool confection of muted tones with a large settee spanning the transom, perfect for chatting with friends and family over cocktails. The forward owner’s suite is the height of luxury, with soft, curving dimensions and a sedate interplay of natural timber and blue and white ombre walls. The large bed is positioned against a large timber-framed hull window, opposite an enormous wall-mountain television, perfect for unwinding after a long day. A long floating vanity unit spans the wall, allowing maximum space for personal items, reading material, or simply objets d’art.
The lower deck offers a range of accommodation options for guests and crew. The most luxurious berth is a full-beam VIP suite located amidships with a spacious en suite bathroom. Two identical double guest cabins can be found aft, to port and starboard, each with their own private head. A well-appointed crew area can be found forward, with two cabins, each with an en-suite, another en suite cabin for the captain, and a large social area with a dinette.
The upper deck is a true showstopper, sure to impress even the fussiest of guests. Aft, you’ll find plenty of sunloungers. Nearby, you’ll also find a sofa, dining table, and stunning wet bar for when the sun is over the yardarm. From here, you only have to walk a few paces to reach the impeccable skylounge, which features a more formal, oval dining table that seats up to 8.
A little further on and you’ll reach the outstanding helmstation. This space features an adjustable settee-style helm seat with a wraparound windscreen for superb visibility. Four multi-function displays and other top-spec navigation electronics make this spot a captain’s dream.
The upper foredeck provides yet another place to relax, chat, and unwind, with two small lounge sofas serviced by two café-style tables, perfect for looking out at the expansive ocean as the sun dips below the horizon.
The SD96 is powered by a choice of two 1380hp MTU engines reaching top speeds of 19 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots or two 1150hp CAT engines with a 14-knot max speed and a 12-knot cruising speed.
