The Sanlorenzo SD90 is an 89-foot semi-displacement superyacht with a flybridge that was launched by the award-winning Italian yacht-building company Sanlorenzo in 2022. With sleek lines inspired by the golden age of transatlantic ocean-liners, signature tinted windows and sophisticated European interiors this is a yacht defined by an understated, classic style. Designed as a live-aboard navette yacht, the Sanlorenzo SD90 features a rugged hull with a high, wave-chopping bow crafted by Studio Zuccon and naval architect Philippe Briand as well as a set of powerful engines designed for long-distance, fuel-efficient cruising.
The open flybridge on this model benefits from a floating hard-top and teak decking, not to mention a fully glazed wall to transom. Up here you will encounter an aft-lounge perfectly positioned for soaking up the sun, a circular conversation table for meals and additional seating or wet-bar stations with amenities like an ice-chipper or a grill. The yacht’s main helm station is also situated on this level for enhanced visibility, and is set to be equipped with all the latest steering and navigational equipment.
Out on the foredeck there is a private, elevated sunpad for up to five guests that is accessed by a set of steps, and further room by the bow for sun-loungers or a set of sumptuous fitted sofas. Waiting for you to stern, meanwhile, is a sheltered cockpit with a transom sofa and room for a dining table, as well as side steps down to a full-beam hydraulic bathing platform and a transom garage.
Sedate and restrained modern interiors have been crafted by Patricia Urquiola to echo the yacht’s distinct, classic looks. Care has been taken to keep this space as sustainable and stylish as possible, and the salon features wood paneling clad in cannulated Paper Factor, a showpiece bulkhead crafted from sleek recycled glass, glossy steel fixtures, machine-cut crystal accents, a bio-resin ceiling and an oblique parquet floor. There is a dining table and a pair of sofas in here that benefit from incredible views out to sea, while further forward you will discover a day-head and an enclosed kitchen with live-in dimensions and high-class branded appliances. At the front of the main-deck sits the lavish owner’s stateroom, a private retreat with a walk-in lobby, a work-desk, an open dressing room, a king-sized bed and a full-beam bathroom lined in terrazzo tiles and wood lattice with day-spa dimensions and a wet-room shower. Three more en-suite double staterooms, larger than most owner’s cabins on rival yachts, sit on the lower-deck, and feature generous hull glazing, plush carpeting and plentiful storage. A separate crew quarters is located up the bow and features its own bathroom and galley facilities.
Powered by a pair of MAN i6 800HP diesel engines with maximum speeds of 14 knots as standard, buyers can also opt for twin Caterpillar C18 1150HP engines for top speeds in excess of 17 knots. At an economy cruising speed, you will be able to traverse the seas for over 1200 nautical miles before needing to refuel, making this a great option for long-haul voyages. A remarkable new feature aboard this vessel, however, is the option to journey with Siemens hybrid engines, which will cruise at a 6-knot pace in an electric-only, zero-emissions mode.
