The Sanlorenzo SD132 is a 133-foot luxury superyacht that is set to be launched by the iconic Italian yacht-building company Sanlorenzo in 2024. Inspired by the Transatlantic ocean liners of the 1930s and designed by naval stylists Studio Zuccon, this sleek vessel features clean and harmonious lines, classic curves and a timeless appeal. Yet this is very much a modern watercraft, with contemporary touches including sheer wrap-around glazing, fold-out balconies, a striking metallic livery and a minimalist approach to deluxe life at sea.
Four tiers of exquisite relaxation space are crowned by a flybridge level with a floating hard-top, teak-decking, glazed walls and imperious views. Up here there is space to aft for your sun-loungers as well as a sunpad zone at the very front of this level. The shaded central portion of the bridge benefits from a retractable sunroof overhead so that you can tailor the amount of light as you mix drinks at a chic stone-clad walk-in wet-bar or relax across a trio of contemporary sofas.
Out on the foredeck there is a vast yet secluded space with two daybeds on different levels that surround a glass-framed infinity plunge pool where you can soak for hours on end. A starboard side deck features a fold-out floating cocktail terrace, perfect for a pit-stop as you make your way back to an aft sun terrace with a set of low-slung contemporary sofas, an outdoor wet-bar and a stunning al-fresco dining table. Head into the upper-lounge on this level for extraordinary views out of cinema-screen windows and a sophisticated vibe. Lounge sofas and a bespoke marble coffee table impart a restrained feel to this space. Further forward, you’ll find head and pantry facilities, a captain’s quarters and a full-beam wheel-house with next-generation navigational equipment.
This yacht really comes alive on the main-deck aft-cockpit, where a series of tiered living spaces present an elegant, modern and free-flowing aura. There’s a transom sofa that can be turned into a sprawling day-bed back here, while side-steps lead down to a full-beam extendable swim platform and a garage door that opens up to reveal a water-level beach-club. This stylish cabana lounge boasts seating and bar facilities along with two fold-out bulwarks that hover over the water to radically boost the entertaining space back here. To make way for the beach-club there is a side-entry tender garage that empties to the port-side of the vessel.
Palatial main-deck lounge space benefits from floor-to-ceiling glazing, fully opening sliding glass doors and dimensions that edge right up to the starboard side of the yacht to maximize light and spaciousness. In here you can expect a modern and minimalist atmosphere thanks to a selection of pale timbers, stone accents, metallic highlights, marbled surfaces and individually sourced furnishings. Expect a vast L-shaped sofa, a set of matching armchairs and Ottomans, a formal dining table for up to ten as well as bar and head facilities, while further forward there is an expansive live-aboard galley and service area. The full-beam owner’s stateroom occupies the front of this level and features an entrance lounge, a work desk, a vanity station, a full-beam cabinet wall, a king-sized bed and a plush bathroom lined in stone with two sinks and a rainforest shower wet-room. There’s sleeping quarters for up to eight more overnight guests on the plush lower-deck, where rooms feature refined en-suites, queen-sized beds, expansive hull glazing and plenty of storage. A separate crew quarters by the bow hosts up to 7 members of staff with private facilities.
Powered by your choice of twin 1400HP MAN V12 engines or a pair of 1622HP Caterpillar C32 shaft-drive motors, you can expect top speeds of around 17 knots and, at an economy cruise speed of 11 knots, an impressive range of up to 3,200 nautical miles. A rugged semi-displacement hull with a wave-slicing double-height bow entry and a fuel tank holding up to 11,095 gallons have been primed for long-distance offshore voyages with plenty left in reserve.
