The Sanlorenzo SD126 is an imposing 126-foot semi-displacement superyacht first launched by the iconic Italian firm Sanlorenzo in 2020. The flagship of Sanlorenzo’s SD range, this model encapsulates everything about Sanlorenzo’s range of semi-displacement yachts: the intersection of vintage and contemporary design, long-range capability, and a boutique ethos that shines through in each model’s uniquely designed, eminently chic interiors.
Staircases on either side of a large swim platform and enormous tender garage lead up to the convivial aft cockpit. Here you will find a large transom sofa and freestanding furniture provide ample seating for guests to mingle, sheltered beneath the upper deck overhang while enjoying the salty air and unimpeded views of the sea.
The salon opens fully onto the aft cockpit, inviting a connection with the elements and enhancing the ample natural light from the surrounding windows. This is indoor-outdoor living at its best, with further sliding doors providing access to the side deck and a terrace-like feel. Plush contemporary furniture fills this convivial space, which also features an enormous wall-mounted television for movie and sport nights.
Just forward is a stunning formal dining area that seats up to ten.
Beyond the salon and dining area is a high-spec portside galley with a long, L-shaped countertop that contains a four-zone cooktop, two sinks, an oven, microwave, other appliances, and ample storage space. To starboard is a discreet day head.
The full-beam owner’s suite lies forward, with a central walkaround bed between two large windows. Forward still is an enormous en suite bathroom with two sinks, a stunning shower, and two toilets with private entrances. Below deck, guests will delight at the well-appointed accommodation, particularly the two large VIP suites with private heads and showers. Amidships there are two guest cabins with two twin beds, perfect for kids, each with their own en suites. Crew quarters can be found forward on the lower deck, with a dedicated captain’s cabin to port and two bunk cabins at the bow. Each crew cabin benefits from an en suite. There is also a social area, including a mini galley and dinette, to starboard.
The upper deck is one of the showstoppers on this yacht, with wraparound seating aft and a large eight-person dining table in the center. Each zone benefits from a nearby wet bar and grill, perfect for cocktails and cookouts. Sliding glass doors lead to a plush skylounge, which features its own bar and three barstools, an extensive U-shaped settee to starboard, and a discreet day head to port. To starboard, you’ll find a snug cabin with en suite for your crew or an additional guest. The wheelhouse is forward, replete with state-of-the-art navigation electronics and plenty of room for a captain and mate.
Up on the flybridge, you and your guests can soak up the sun to your heart’s content. Three sunloungers are situated aft, while a long, curving bar with three barstools ensures no one will go thirsty. A nearby jacuzzi will help you unwind after a long day’s leisure, while an enormous U-shaped seating area fills the forward section. An optional hardtop is available for extra shelter.
The SD126 is powered by a choice of two 1,469hp MTU engines or twin 1,724hp MTUs; the first reaches max speeds of 16 knots, while the second tops out at 17 knots. Whichever engine you choose will give you an enormous range of 2,500-3,000nm at an economical speed of 11 knots, providing enormous possibilities for long-haul adventures.
