The Sanlorenzo 57 Steel is a 187-foot luxury superyacht with a flybridge that was launched by the iconic Italian yacht-building brand Sanlorenzo in 2022. Boasting an all-steel hull designed for oceanic exploration and a sleek aluminum superstructure crafted by Studio Zuccon that drips with modern style, this live-aboard yacht sets new standards for spaciousness and luxury in its class. A number of dramatic design interventions, including a waterside beach club, drop-down terraces and a tender garage by the double-height bow, are matched by a contemporary and minimalist feel to living spaces for a cutting-edge appeal.
An aft sunlounge on the upper bridge promises exceptional views out to stern via a glazed rear wall, while an enclosed lounge up here boasts designer sofas, authentic timber surrounds and a modern helm station with everything needed for long-distance expeditions. One level down you will encounter yet another slick sunlounge to aft, an upper lounge lined in decadent materials and, at the front of this level, a full-beam owner’s stateroom. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glazing, there are also doors out to a 580-square foot private owner’s terrace that is large enough to accommodate twin sunpads, a set of lounge sofas, a wet-bar and a jacuzzi spa-pool. The stateroom also features a king-sized bed, sofas, office space, a walk-in dressing room and a marble or stone lined bathroom with a spa-like feel.
The main-deck, meanwhile, features a huge, free-flowing salon with an authentic timber sole, bespoke sofas and a formal dining table, while near floor-to-ceiling glazing and cutaway gunwales enhance the sense of light in here. There is an enclosed galley with Miele appliances on this level, while at the front of the deck there is a full-beam, en-suite VIP stateroom just as impressive as the owner’s cabin one floor up.
A two-tier beach club at stern starts with a sedate aft cockpit featuring low-slung sofas and sophisticated sunpads lined up alongside an open-air swimming pool ideal for refreshing dips. Side steps then lead down to a water-level entertaining space with bar facilities that benefits from three teak-lined, fold-out bulwarks that can be used as diving platforms or floating cocktail terraces.
Due to this beach club space at the stern Sanlorenzo decided to place the tender garage by the bow, and this garage opens up at the port side of the yacht to reveal a capacious cavity with a davit large enough for two jet-tenders and additional watersports equipment. A unique under-deck, meanwhile, offers yet more space for storage, including industrial-capacity refrigerators and direct access to the engine room.
Four more en-suite cabins with vertical mullions, plenty of storage and an elegant appeal sit on the lower-deck to bring the total overnight capacity to twelve, while a crew quarters to the bow with its own head and dining facilities can accommodate up to twelve members of staff.
A pair of Caterpillar 3512C engines promote top speeds of around 16 knots with a comfortable cruising speed of 13 knots. Settle into a sedate economy cruise of 11 knots and you can ride this beauty for around 4,000 nautical miles before needing to refuel. There is also the option to fit this yacht with a Siemens hybrid electric system for zero-emissions cruising with the engines turned off for reduced ecological impact.
