The Sanlorenzo 46 Steel is a 150-foot luxury superyacht with a flybridge that was launched by the iconic Italian yacht-building company Sanlorenzo in 2011. Boasting an entirely high-tensile steel-framed hull and an aluminum superstructure, this is a yacht that has been built for true oceanic cruising to all four corners of the globe. A sleek profile with plenty of curves hides four levels of exquisite living space, while layouts penned by naval architect Francesco Paszkowski take full advantage of the sheer space on offer aboard this exceptional vessel.
Up on the flybridge there is space to the rear for sunpads, room for a bespoke dining table and a fully equipped wet-bar with a grill across the center and, to the front, a jacuzzi spa-pool and sunpad console ideal for partying. An upper-level features a sky-deck to the rear, a circular dining room, an upper-lounge and a pilothouse with everything required for safe, long-distance exploration. Alternatively, remove the lounge and situate your elevated master stateroom up here for superb elevated views upon waking up in the morning. A foredeck lounge, meanwhile, features a raised U-shaped sofa with a table and a pair of lavish sunpads down near the bow. It is up here that you will also find the yacht’s large garage for two jet-tenders, with a hydraulic davit cleverly hidden by the bow.
Heading onto the main deck you will find a shaded aft-cockpit and curved, sliding glass doors into a palatial salon. A bleached oak sole in here is joined by grey Eyong wood panels, brass accents, highlights of travertine and marble surfaces, though buyers can also opt for a chestnut sole and accents in rosewood and high-gloss cherry for a more traditional feel. A pair of sofas are joined by armchairs and Ottomans, while further forward there is a floating glass staircase, an enclosed galley with granite surfaces and Miele appliances, as well as a full-beam owner’s stateroom. This room is larger than most yacht salons and boasts landscape windows, leather wall panels, a king-sized bed, an office, a walk-in dressing room, seating, a vanity station and a stone-lined double bathroom with a tub and an enclosed shower. There are four more en-suite double staterooms across the lower-deck for up to eight more guests, with rooms benefiting from vertical portholes or mullioned windows, seating, embossed wall panels and desks.
Instead of a traditional bathing platform to stern there is a flip-down transom wall at sea-level that reveals a huge beach-club with room for sun-loungers and even a waterside gym. A unique under-deck level provides heavy-duty cleaning facilities, industrial-sized chilled storage, and direct access to the engine room and capacious crew quarters. This yacht also benefits from sound-mitigation throughout for a near-silent atmosphere as you gently glide across the waves.
Powered by a pair of 2040HP Caterpillar 3512 DITA engines, you can expect top speeds of 17 knots and cruising speeds of 15 knots while piloting this yacht. At an economy cruise of 12 knots, meanwhile, you will be able to captain your 46 Steel for over 4,000 nautical miles before needing to refuel.
