The Riviera Belize 54 Sedan is a 54-foot sports cruiser that was launched by the award-winning Australian yacht firm Riviera Yachts in 2013. Rugged enough for Australia’s Pacific coast, refined enough for any high-class European marina, and with the sorts of amenities demanded by North American clients, this yacht seems to have it all. Though designed in partnership with naval stylists 4D Design, this is a vessel that bears that signature Riviera look. A blend of classic-contemporary lines, a slightly flared bow, swooping structural curves, a metallic livery, and sedate living spaces are married to a hand-crafted finish utilizing only the very finest materials. Ideal for long-range coastal cruising, this yacht has enough space for the whole family and the lavish quality required for sophisticated entertaining.
Head to the foredeck to work on your summer tan across a double-width sunpad with flip-up backrests, steel grab-rails and integrated cup-holders. Alternatively, head into the shaded aft-cockpit to discover a bespoke transom sofa and a teak-lined table sitting across from a twin love-seat and a bar with stools that connects to the aft-galley when the sliding glass doors have been opened up. The teak-lined, full-beam and wrap-around swim platform to stern features a timber and steel boarding ladder, while a huge transom garage back here boasts enough room to store a modern Williams jet-tender with space to spare. Also on offer to stern is an at-sea wet bar cleverly hidden behind a gas-assisted door. Flip it up and discover an outdoor grill, an ice-maker, a sink, work surfaces, LED lighting and drinks storage.
Interiors are inspired by the very best of mid-century yachting, and feature warm timber accents, plenty of teak, a sprawling L-shaped leather sofa and an adaptable extending table with cup-holders. Broad side windows, twin sunroofs and strip glazing above the helm keep this space feeling breezy and atmospheric, while a port-side galley impresses with a brushed countertops, a multi-zone hob, a convection oven, under-counter Vitrifrigo fridge-freezer units and a steel sink. A trio of seats face the modern helm station, where a timber, leather-lined and power-assisted steering wheel is joined by a Penta joystick, Volvo Glass Cockpit touch-screens, a CZone tablet, hand-held Garmin VHF radio and excellent visibility.
Opulent lower-deck sleeping quarters impress with plush carpeting underfoot, porthole hull windows, mood lighting and climate-control throughout, while the atrium boasts a glazed ceiling for a rare burst of natural light. Bulkheads are solid and clad in rich timber or padded upholstery, while there is plentiful storage down here in the form of full-height cedar-lined lockers, hidden compartments and hand-crafted cabinet units. A VIP stateroom to the bow features a queen-sized bed, while a bunk berth to starboard even has space for a bedside cabinet. The pick of the bunch down here is the full-beam master stateroom to aft, which includes rounded horizontal hull glazing, a nautical-themed striped side sofa, a king-sized island bed, bedside cabinets, mirrored walls and direct access to an en-suite bathroom. A second head on this level includes a wet-room shower and a teak-sole, while a laundry room comes as an optional extra.
A supreme mover across coastal waters thanks to a hull crafted by Oceanic Design & Surveys, this vessel will reach top speeds of up to 33 knots. At a cruising speed of around 20 knots, meanwhile, you will enjoy a 370 nautical mile range, more than enough for ambitious coastal exploration. Need a burst of raw energy? Then you will be pleased to note that this boat reaches planing speeds in as little as 7.4 seconds, and reaches that 20 knot cruising pace in under 9 seconds.
