The Riviera 77 Enclosed Flybridge is a superb 81-foot long-range yacht launched in 2015 by Riviera Yachts, Australia’s premier yacht firm. Dubbed the most significant event of Riviera’s history, the 77 remains the brand’s largest boat yet, with enough offshore capability to whet the appetites of serious cruisers and anglers alike. Though Riviera no longer produces this exquisite vessel, it continues to be a top choice for owners seeking that elusive mix of palace and spaceship, emphasizing the latest in luxury and technology.
Designed for long-distance adventures, the 77 is built for comfort. The yacht’s large proportions ensure substantial space for entertaining, dining, sleeping, and lounging without ever feeling confined. A large, sporty cockpit can be customized to the owner’s specifications: anglers will want to opt for a fighting chair and live bait tank, while bon vivant’s will want to fit a barbecue center with rink, waste bin, and storage in the transom.
A few steps up from the cockpit lead to the aft mezzanine level, where owners again have a range of options. A plush aft-facing lounge allows guests to observe sportfishers reeling in their catch, while opposing lounges and a dining table offer a stunning spot for al fresco dinners. Out on the bow, users can soak up the rays as they lounge upon the extensive sofas and sunpad. There is also space here to store a tender, thanks to a recessed area in the deck.
The flybridge is a veritable skylounge with excellent views and visibility from the upper helm, which features state-of-the-art electronics and navigation, with a full complement of equipment options from fishfinder to GPS systems. An impressive sunroof invites in fresh air and light, perfect for summer days. The 77 is powered by twin MAN V12 D2862 LE476 engines with 1900HP, with a reasonable cruising speed of 26.4 knots.
In the salon, owners will enjoy the convenience and style of the aft galley, perfectly positioned to serve the mezzanine and the forward dining space. Designed for professional chefs and serious foodies, the galley boasts a wide U-shaped layout with plenty of counterspace and even a breakfast bar with stools. High-spec appliances provide everything you need to create a gourmet meal and impeccable granite countertops for prep. A formal but welcoming elevated dining room sits forward and to port, with a gleaming wood table and six leather-upholstered freestanding chairs. If a more relaxed vibe is preferred, owners can instead choose an L-shaped sofa with an equally gorgeous table and further ottoman seating. To starboard, an extensive sofa extends along the length of the salon. Crystal-clear windows surround this space, filling it with light and glorious views.
Below deck, owners can configure their choice of accommodation for up to 10 people. A sumptuous full-beam owner’s suite features a king-sized bed, walk-in wardrobes, a loveseat, desk, a large TV, and an en suite bathroom. Three guest cabins also benefit from en suite bathrooms, allowing everyone complete privacy. Depending on the owner’s preference, guest accommodation can be split across three cabins with two twins each or two queen cabins and a third cabin with two twins. An optional crew cabin can be fitted behind the engine room.
