The Riviera 75 Enclosed Flybridge is an 80-foot convertible motoryacht with a flybridge that was produced by Australia’s award-winning yacht-building firm Riviera between the years of 2012 and 2016. The flagship of the brand upon launch, this vessel not only delivered peerless fishing amenities but presented a luxurious live-aboard package with expedition yacht characteristics. A massive fuel tank, rugged engines and an offshore-optimized fiberglass hull designed by Frank Mulder combine with a streamlined profile, a swept-back superstructure and aerodynamic curves for a look and feel that is ultra-sporty. Living spaces, meanwhile, are stylish enough for entertaining and comfortable enough for long-range voyages.
Up on the flybridge there is a spacious aft-terrace lined in teak with a glazed rear wall and a sofa perfect for spying on the fisher-folk below. Step inside to discover a sophisticated upper lounge with sublime views, an L-shaped leather sofa, a bespoke coffee table, a wet bar to keep those drinks ice-cold and a retractable sunroof to let the rays in. A trio of helm seats with armrests face a full-beam helm station with a Czone monitor, a trio of Raymarine touchscreens, Twin Disc throttles, an EJS joystick, bow and stern thruster controls, power-assisted steering, a mounted compass and room for the extras of your choice.
Out on the lengthy foredeck there is room for tender storage and a chunky hydraulic davit, while side-decks lead all the way back to a vast self-draining sports cockpit. Lined in teak, this space features two in-sole fish lockers with coffin-box dimensions, a glazed transom livewell or a wet-bar with a grill, rod holders, outriggers, rocket launchers, wash-down hoses, a bait-prep station, an ice-chipper and a transom door out to a hydraulic bathing platform. There’s room for a fighting chair or a set of sun-loungers, while a pair of mezzanine sofas on level up surround a bespoke timber dining table for al-fresco meals.
A glazed door leads into a walk-in galley with Corian countertops, a wine-cooler, a Miele oven and hob, Sub-Zero refrigeration and a steel sink, while a serving bar with a trio of leather-clad stools connects the galley to the salon. Settle into the main-deck salon by relaxing in a forward lounge with two tables and a pair of sprawling sofas that could host an extended family with room to spare. An authentic hardwood floor, leather furnishings, expansive side glazing, mood lighting and rich timber surrounds give this space a deluxe and sedate feel.
Down on the lower deck there is sleeping quarters for at least eight overnight guests across four cabins, with each room boasting its own lavish en-suite facilities with wet-room showers and granite-effect counters. A pair of twin rooms sit amidship and feature full-height lockers as well as the capacity to fit in an extra bunk bed, while a VIP stateroom to the bow boasts double skylights and a queen-sized bed. The aft-positioned master stateroom is a full-beam affair with a work-desk, cushioned wall panels, two walk-in closets, a side sofa, a king-sized bed, a wall-mounted HDTV, wide hull glazing and the vessel’s largest bathroom.
Built for bluewater stamina, this yacht can keep going for up to 600 nautical miles at a 24-knot cruising pace, while at a stately 10 knot speed the range dramatically expands to well over 2,000 nautical miles, making this a true ocean-going cruiser. Standard engines are a pair of 1572HP Caterpillar C32 Acert turbodiesels that will produce top speeds of around 34 knots, while buyers can also search for models with upgraded 1800HP engines for a bigger hit of high-octane speed.
