A sumptuous 72-foot motoryacht launched in 2019 by leading Australian yacht firm Riviera Yachts, the 72 Sports Motor Yacht is a stunning model built for long-range cruising, serious angling, and superb entertainment. Ideal for adventurers and their families, this yacht offers freedom and possibility across three levels, including an outstanding flybridge.
Captains and owner-operators will pilot from the flybridge, which features a stunning portside helmstation with two captain’s chairs. Powered by two impressive MAN V12 engines, this yacht offers reliable, quiet, and responsive handling. Among an array of high-tech equipment, a glass cockpit with three multi-function touchscreen displays offers full control to the pilot, with at-a-glance access to navigation and engine data and an EJS joystick close to hand.
The rest of the flybridge features plush L-shaped starboard seating that snakes aft and fully forward, where you can relax or dine beneath the opening sunroof. A wet bar and television are on hand to provide entertainment up here. This space can be customized to include further seating and dining facilities. Outside, the aft flybridge cockpit features an outdoor dining area and a smaller helm station for docking or tight maneuvering. A hydraulic 550kg davit out on the foredeck allows launch and retrieval of your tender.
The main deck features a generous cockpit lounge area sheltered by the flybridge overhang. This is a large, sumptuous lounge and dining area perfect for al fresco meals. Friends and family can gather around their choice of two L-shaped settees with bright teak tables that can be removed when not in use. Just a few steps down, and you’ll find an impeccable sporting cockpit with a fighting chair or outdoor table and a double barbecue station.
Moving forward and through the sliding glass salon doors, you’ll be greeted by the exceptional aft galley. Glossy U-shaped cabinetry with plenty of storage and countertops are bright and welcoming. A four-burner cooktop is fitted above the integrated convection microwave oven, ideal for cooking up a gourmet meal, while a double basin sink and dishwasher offer easy clean-up. Two refrigerators provide plenty of space for your provisions.
Forward from the galley is the main salon, with two comfortable L-shaped sofas on either side and a folding table that make this a versatile, convivial space. Large windows offer incredible views and can be opened to invite in the sea breeze, while a 52-inch television is built into the kitchen cabinetry and perfectly placed for viewing from the salon seating. Out on the bow, users will find another social hub. Watch the sun set, cocktail in hand, as you lounge on one of two L-shaped seating areas to port and starboard.
Accommodation is located on the lower deck, with a choice of two layouts. The classic layout features a full-beam aft owner’s suite, two amidships cabins with two twin beds, and a forward VIP suite. The presidential layout features the same number of cabins, but is adapted to accommodate two crew members. In this configuration, one of the twin cabins is situated near the engine room with Pulman-style beds and an adjacent head.
