The Riviera 63 Enclosed Flybridge is a 66-foot convertible motor-yacht with a bridge that was produced by the award-winning Australian yacht-building company Riviera between the years of 2012 and 2016. Rather appropriately for a vessel that offers both deluxe family cruising and tournament fishing amenities, this yacht manages to look both stylish and sporty at the same time. A long foredeck with a slightly flared bow entry, sloping lines to transom and an assertive superstructure with sharp curves combine with a fish-focused cockpit and a bridge designed around elevated piloting and late-night entertaining. Riviera built 10 of these models across the production run, with discerning clients admiring the impeccable build quality and bigger dimensions found on this pristine watercraft.
Up on the bridge you will discover a striped teak sole, wrap-around glazing and two Pompanette swivel chairs facing a wrap-around helm equipped with the latest navigational tech. This timber-framed dashboard features a CZone monitoring tablet, Simrad touch-screen devices, Twin Disc throttles, hand-held VHF radio, trim-tab switches, bow thruster controls, power-assisted steering and room for optional upgrades of your choice. Just behind the helm there is a sedate L-shaped leather sofa, a bespoke coffee table and a wet bar station perfect for mixing drinks. To the rear of the enclosed bridge there is an open terrace with a sofa giving you a bird’s eye view of the action in the cockpit.
Down on the main deck you will discover a foredeck that can be used for sunpads or, thanks to a heavy-duty optional davit, that can be used to store your jet tender. Head to the opposite end of the yacht to discover a fish-centric cockpit with room for a custom fighting-chair, up to 20 rod-holders including rocket launchers, air-tight storage lockers, in-sole macerated fish boxes connected to an icemaker, a bait-prep center, a vast transom livewell, a self-draining deck lined in teak and a transom lift-gate out to a bathing platform. There’s also an optional stern-side wet bar with an outdoor grill, perfect for cooking up burgers as the water laps against your feet, while a pair of mezzanine sofas sitting under an awning surround an outdoor dining table.
The main-deck salon impresses with plenty of dynamic glazing, varnished hardwood floors, high-gloss timber surrounds, soft carpeting, mood lighting and white leather furnishings. To aft there is a live-in galley with Corian work surfaces, Miele cooking appliances, plenty of storage and a number of Vitrifrigo refrigeration options. Ahead of this there are a pair of sprawling sofas, one that has been paired with a coffee table and another that hugs a dining table.
The spacious lower-deck offers sumptuous sleeping quarters for up to six overnight guests across a popular three-cabin layout, with each room boasting its own en-suite facilities with porcelain sinks and shower cubicles. A bunk-berth to starboard is joined by a VIP stateroom to port with a king-sized bed, hull glazing and a cedar-lined lockers, while a master stateroom by the bow features trapezoidal windows, skylights, two full-height closets, a queen-sized bed and a side sofa.
A pair of 1015HP Caterpillar C18 Acert diesel engines are fitted to this vessel as standard, though you can also opt for the upgraded twinset of 1550HP MAN V12s which should produce top speeds edging over the 35-knot mark. At a cruising speed of around 24 knots, you will enjoy a range of over 400 nautical miles, mainly due to a fuel tank holding 1493 gallons, while this yacht’s offshore-optimized hull with a 12.5-degree deadrise also promotes fuel-efficiency in bluewater conditions.
