The Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht is a 62-foot sports cruiser that was produced by award-winning Australian yacht-building company Riviera Yachts between 2009 and 2016. 33 of these sleek models were shipped to discerning clients world-wide during the production run, with yachting aficionados adoring the raw speed, sleek lines, bullet-like aerodynamics and assertive entry of this high-performance vessel. The level of hand-crafted finish, the elegance of the deluxe living spaces and the sense of out-on-the-water fun also proved popular, while sleeping quarters for an entire family make this a superb option for larger parties who enjoy island-hopping.
Out on the foredeck there is a double-width sunpad with pop-up backrests, cup-holders and marina-facing views, while further outdoor lounge space is available in the teak-lined cockpit. Back here you will enjoy a curving transom sofa that hugs an outdoor timber dining table, as well as two wet-bar stations with an outdoor grill, chilled storage, solid work surfaces and an ice-chipper. Steps to stern lead down to a full-beam, hydraulic bathing platform, while there’s also a capacious transom garage back here big enough for a jet-tender.
Upon entry into the main-deck salon you will notice warm cherrywood surrounds that are paired with a darker Amtico sole, plush leather throughout, steel fixtures and more glass than a greenhouse, as well as an above-helm sunroof. To aft there is a walk-in galley with granite-effect countertops, a multi-zone hob, a convection oven, a steel sink, plenty of refrigeration space, hand-crafted cabinets and a serving bar with two stools. Further forward there is a U-shaped sofa with a dining table and room for more cabinets. To starboard there are two leather-backed helm seats facing a modern helm station featuring two Raymarine E120 display screens, power-steering, Penta joystick handling, a CZone monitoring tablet, hand-held VHF, a mounted compass and the controls for the yacht’s Bose surround sound system.
A four-cabin, three-head layout on the lower-deck provides sleeping quarters for up to eight overnight guests, while an optional crew quarters is located aft. Rooms down here benefit from vertical mullioned glazing, soft carpeting underfoot, mood lighting overhead and wide dimensions. A twin berth to starboard shares a fully-equipped bathroom and shower with a bunk berth to port, while there is an en-suite VIP stateroom to the bow with a double bed, a skylight and two full-height lockers. The master stateroom amidship boasts full-beam dimensions, a king-sized bed, bedside cabinets, soft wall panels, a side-sofa, a work desk and a walk-in closet, with an en-suite located to port. Layouts down here are subject to customization, with buyers able to exchange the bunk-berth for a lower-lounge.
Powered by a triple 435HP Volvo IPS600 pod-drives or three Cummins Zeus pod-drives, you can expect top speeds to hit an adrenalin-pumping 30 knots, while at a cruising speed of 22 knots you will enjoy a 450 nautical mile range. An infusion molded hull with watertight bulkheads has been ocean-tested and will eat up coastal swells while delivering a balanced and dry ride.
