The Riviera 57 Enclosed Flybridge is a 60-foot convertible flybridge yacht launched by acclaimed Australian yacht-building firm Riviera Yachts in 2017. Crafted in response to client demand for a bigger yacht with a longer cruising range, the 57 EF boasts the sort of sleek form, dynamic curves and sporty profile that have made its dual-purpose fishing and entertaining vessels global best-sellers.
At the rear of the bridge there is an open platform with a sofa, access to the mounted rocket launchers and even a rear docking system, while step inside to encounter 360-degrees of elevated views in a climate-controlled space. In here you can expect a dark timber sole contrasting against an L-shaped sofa with light-toned upholstery, a triangular dining table and a wet-bar station with chilled storage, while up front two leather-lined Pompanette helm seats sit underneath a glazed sunroof and face the helm station. Utilize power-steering, a CZone tablet, a Penta joystick and a trio of Garmin Glass Cockpit touchscreens to chart your course, with a mounted compass, hand-held VHF and an auto-trim system also on hand to guide you.
The foredeck is large enough to host a sunpad, though most will make use of the hydraulic davit out here to use this area for tender storage. The teak-lined and self-draining cockpit, meanwhile, is split between a lower fishing zone and an upper mezzanine level for relaxation. There is a glazed transom livewell, a lift-gate leading to a swim platform, in-sole fish-boxes and flush rod-holders back here, while a transom sofa lifts up to reveal a vast coffin box. Up on the mezzanine you can expect an L-shaped sofa, a dining table with integrated cup-holders and a wet bar station with two grills, a sink, an ice-chipper and refrigeration.
Upon stepping in to the main-deck salon you will be greeted by a walk-in galley with marbled countertops, a multi-zone hob, an oven, a steel sink, under-counter fridge-freezer units and bespoke cabinet space. Further forward there is a spacious and sociable lounge with a U-shaped dining sofa to port and a low-slung sofa to starboard. Interiors feature plenty of metallic accents, swooping side glazing, leather furnishings, high-gloss walnut surrounds and pale oak or plush carpeting underfoot.
On the lower deck there is room for up to six overnight guests across a trio of well-appointed and sedate cabins. A swish bathroom to port is shared by a starboard bunk berth and a double cabin to the bow, with this latter room boasting skylights and two cedar-lined closets. The owner’s stateroom amidship benefits from full-beam dimensions, horizontal hull windows, a king-sized bed, a walk-in closet, a side sofa and a marble-lined bathroom with a wet-room shower.
Though powered by a pair of 900HP Volvo Penta D13 IPS1200 pod-drive engines, you can also choose to equip this model with twin 1000HP Caterpillar C12.9 shaft-drives for a more conventional approach to voyaging. Pull back on the throttles to achieve top speeds of up to 31 knots, while at an economical pace of 19 knots you will enjoy a cruising range of 384 nautical miles. An ocean-tested bluewater hull can stand up to significant coastal swells while still delivering a soft, dry and stable ride.
