The Riviera 565 SUV is a 60-foot sports yacht that was produced by the award-winning Australian yacht-builder Riviera Yachts between 2013 and 2016. A sleek, coupe-style profile with a curved hood, swooping lines, an assertive entry and an undeniably sporty vibe, this swift and stylish vessel was an immense hit with discerning clients around the world. Capable of being used by keen fishers, and just as well-suited for coastal cruising with the entire family, the 565 SUV impresses with its rich, hand-crafted finish and host of sporty amenities.
Head out onto the broad foredeck to find an optional double sunpad ideal for soaking up the rays, while there is also space out here to cast a line from the bow. Further fishing space will be found in the self-draining, teak-lined cockpit, where a transom livewell, in-sole fish-boxes, an optional fighting chair, flush rod-holders, a bait-prep center and a transom lift-gate will be appreciated by enthusiastic anglers. Yet there is also plenty to impress families with an optional transom sofa, a mezzanine sofa and a transom wet-bar with a grill, chilled storage and a sink. To stern there is a full-beam bathing platform perfect for swimmers, while sports gear can be kept in a lazarette back here.
The main deck salon benefits from swooping side glazing that can be slid open and an overhead sunroof, while the finish in here accentuates the feel of luxury with high-gloss cherry surrounds, an Amtico timber-sole, bespoke cabinet units and plenty of leather. You will find a galley immediately upon entry with marbled work surfaces, a multi-zone hob, a combination oven and plenty of refrigeration, while a side sofa and an L-shaped dining sofa with an extending table sit further forward. A pair of cream-toned upholstered Pompanette piloting seats face a handsome dash with a power-assisted, leather-lined steering wheel. Also to be found at the helm is a CZone monitoring tablet, a Penta joystick, a trio of Raymarine e165 screens, a night-vision camera display, autopilot, a compass and hand-held VHF.
Across the plush lower deck you will encounter mood lighting, strip glazing and skylights for a breezy feel. There is sleeping space for up to six overnight guests down here, with a bunk berth to starboard sharing an en-suite and a shower with a VIP double stateroom to the bow that also features a pair of full-height lockers. The pick of the rooms down here, however, is the full-beam owner’s stateroom, where a side sofa, a work desk, a walk-in closet and a queen-sized bed have access to a spa-like bathroom with a sink, a toilet and a waterfall shower cubicle.
Powered by a pair of 700HP Volvo Penta IPS950 pod-drives, you will enjoy a full-throttle speed of 33 knots and cruising pace of 25 knots. At this lower speed you can expect to ride this vessel for 452 nautical miles before requiring a pit-stop, while those who like to glide along at a sedate speed of 9 knots will cruise for 814 miles before refuelling. A rugged, hand-laid fiberglass deep-V hull has been built to withstand Pacific swells, and delivers a dry, balanced ride.
