The Riviera 47 Convertible is a 53-foot convertible sportfishing yacht that was produced by award-winning Australian yacht firm Riviera Yachts between 2003 and 2013. 292 of these exquisite and sporty models were delivered to discerning clients around the globe during the production run, with this model appealing to both keen fishers and cruising families alike. Sleek curves, a swept-back and aerodynamic profile, an open flybridge, swift engines and plenty of fishing amenities make this the perfect choice for those who like to combine style and presence, while deluxe living spaces and a hand-crafted finish deliver classy comfort for families or larger island-hopping groups.
The bridge is covered by a floating hard-top and is open at the sides to enhance your connection with the atmospheric ocean air. There is a rear helm station up here boasting a pair of Stidd helm seats and a sporty dashboard with SeaStar hydraulic steering, Twin Disc electronic controls, Simrad AP26 autopilot, a Northstar 6000i chartplotter, SidePower bow thruster controls, Furuno radar, underwater camera feedback, a compass and hand-held Icom VHF radio. Also on offer up here is an L-shaped sofa and a loveseat surrounding a breakfast table, as well as a wet-bar station with a sink and a drinks cooler.
Head into the 131-square foot, teak-lined cockpit with a self-draining sole to experience tournament-level fishing gear including a transom livewell, in-deck fish-boxes, a bait freezer, Glendinning Cablemasters, optional outriggers and rocket launchers, flush rod holders, a sports lazarette, a wash-down hose and a transom lift-gate that leads out to a full-beam bathing platform with a swim ladder. There’s even room for a fighting chair back here, while the cockpit can also be optimized for relaxation, with a room for a dining table and a mezzanine sofa.
The mood switches in the main-deck salon to something more elegant and comfortable, with plush carpeting, satin-finished cherry or teak surrounds and ample side glazing. A bespoke set of cabinets are joined by two L-shaped sofas, one paired with a coffee table and the other matched with a dining table. A walk-in galley sits on a mezzanine level for private food prep, and includes a timber sole, Corian countertops, U-Line refrigeration, a Eurokera multi-zone cooktop, a Panasonic microwave oven, a sink and plenty of bespoke cabinet space.
There is sleeping space for up to six overnight guests across a swish and spacious lower deck. A bunk-berth to port shares an en-suite bathroom and shower with a twin room to starboard, with both cabins boasting plenty of storage. A master stateroom with skylights, a queen-sized island bed and two cedar-lined lockers sits by the bow and benefits from its own dedicated en-suite bathroom.
Powered by 660HP Cummins QSM11 diesel engines as standard, you can also upgrade to a pair of 700HP Caterpillar C12 or twin 825HP MTU 60 inboards for an extra burst of speed. Expect full-throttle speeds to hit 33 knots, with smooth cruising speeds of around 26 knots. At this lower pace you will stay out on the water all weekend thanks to a 712-gallon fuel tank and a modified-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom that promotes agility, acceleration and fuel-efficiency.
