The Riviera 4600 Sport Yacht Platinum is a 50-foot sports cruiser launched by award-winning Australian yacht builder Riviera Yachts in 2023. The huge foredeck hosts a triple-width, forward-facing sunpad in marine-grade upholstery with pop-up backrests so that you and your guests can lounge in blissful sunshine for hours on end. Wide side-decks lead directly back to a full-beam, teak-lined bathing platform to stern that can be lowered into the water and used as a tender storage area, while there’s also a capacious transom lazarette back here. A few steps up leads to a timber-lined aft-cockpit sitting underneath a structural overhang for shade, where an L-shaped transom sofa surrounds a teak-topped dining table with integrated cup-holders, while a wet-bar station sits to starboard and boasts refrigeration, a sink and an outdoor Kenyon grill.
Step into a plush salon via a set of metal-framed sliding glass doors and encounter a brushed timber sole and an aft galley with stonework surfaces, a hob, a convection oven, a steel sink, masses of cabinet space and under-counter fridge-freezer units. Across from this sits a U-shaped white sofa that surrounds a dining table, while a pair of helm seats lined in leather and Alcantara suede face the port-side helm station. This entire space benefits from wrap-around glazing and a retractable, above-helm sunroof for copious amounts of natural light and a breezy maritime feel. The helm itself features Glass Cockpit touchscreens from Garmin or Volvo, a hand-wrapped, tilting, power-assisted steering wheel, Volvo Interceptor trims, optional Seakeeper 6 stabilizer switches, hand-held VHF, a mounted compass, joystick handling and a C-Zone control panel.
The perfect yacht for week-long cruising, you can pick between a 2-cabin, 2-head layout down here with an atrium lounge to port, or exchange the lounge for a third cabin so that up to six overnight guests can enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep down here. Up front there is a VIP stateroom with cedar-lined closets, a skylight and a queen-sized bed, while to aft you will discover a full-beam master stateroom with swooping hull windows, a side sofa, a handcrafted set of cabinets, bedside tables, a wall-mounted HDTV and upholstered wall-panels. The optional third cabin can accommodate a single bed or a pair of bunks, while when used as a lounge it is large enough to feature an L-shaped sofa. Both heads on this level feature hull-side windows with opening portholes, ceramic bowl sinks, mirrored medicine cabinets and fully enclosed shower cubicles.
Powered by dual 600HP Volvo Penta D8-IPS800 pod-drive diesels, you can expect competitive top speeds well in excess of 32 knots with silky-smooth cruising speeds of around 27 knots. Immensely seaworthy with the right amount of lift and great stability on the turn, each Riviera craft is ocean-tested off the Australian coast for increased consumer confidence. A fuel tank holding 555 US gallons of diesel will keep you out on the water for days on end before needing a fuel top-up, making this an excellent option for vacationers.
