The Riviera 45 Open Flybridge is a classic 51.5-foot open flybridge yacht built by leading Australian yacht brand Riviera Yachts between 2007 and 2021. Gorgeous lines and an elegant profile would be enough to entice anyone, but the fishing amenities, entertainment options, and superb accommodation make this critically acclaimed model a serious contender for anyone in the market for a premium used yacht.
From stern to bow, this yacht offers a stunning sense of space thanks to a free-flowing design that connects the cockpit to the salon. The generous self-draining cockpit can be fully outfitted for fishing with an optional bait tank on the transom, outriggers, rod holders, a game tower and fighting chair. But even the standard layout will please anglers, with a removable fish box and plenty of space on deck to maneuver your rod.
Those who prefer to focus on entertainment can opt for a plush mezzanine lounge and cockpit table alongside a barbecue and refrigerated cool box for al fresco dining and lounging.
Stairs in the cockpit lead to the phenomenal flybridge, where you’ll find more space for socializing thanks to a generous forward lounge complete with L-shaped settee and hi-lo dining table which seamlessly converts to a day bed when the table is lowered. There is further bench seating to starboard, while a wet bar with a sink, storage, and optional fridge sits just aft. The upper helm can be found just aft and to port of the lounge. It features two comfortable helm chairs, large multifunction touchscreens, and user-friendly navigation equipment.
A large window to port of the glass salon door allows owners to almost fully open up the salon to the cockpit, inviting guests to move about freely, socializing as the fresh sea breeze circulates throughout the boat. The salon is luxurious, with impeccable joinery, upholstery, and views from the expansive side windows. Plenty of seating can be found throughout, including two L-shaped seating areas, one of which includes a large dining table. Forward and to port, you’ll find an enclosed U-shaped galley with premium stainless-steel appliances, sturdy Corian counter tops, and finely finished cabinetry with storage throughout. A lower helm can be fitted to starboard in lieu of one of the L-shaped settees.
Accommodation is located forward, down four gentle steps. The forward owner’s suite is generous, with a queen-sized bed, full-height hanging locker and en suite bathroom with a frameless glass shower stall. The VIP room is located aft, with two comfortable twin beds that can be transformed into a double thanks to a filler cushion. A further guest cabin can be found to starboard, and features two upper and lower twin beds. Both guest rooms enjoy access to the generous day head aft and to starboard.
Because this popular model had such a long production run, standard and upgraded engine options may vary, but the most recent standard power option for these vessels was a pair of Volvo Penta engines with 725HP each. Other power options have included twin shaft drive CAT or Cummins engines.
