The Riviera 43 Offshore Express is 49-foot luxury sports yacht that was produced by Australia’s premier yacht-building firm Riviera Yachts between 2009 and 2014. 19 of these sleek and sporty models were shipped to discerning clients around the globe across the production run, who admired the vessel’s aerodynamic and graceful lines, the swept-back curves of its hard-top hood, and the deluxe finish of its living and entertaining spaces. Built on a rugged hull with next-generation pod-drive engines, this is the perfect boat for coastal cruising with the family, but it also doubles as a sportfisher thanks to its huge, all-action cockpit.
It is possible to attach a tuna tower to this vessel for elevated reconnaissance, though most fishing fanatics will be found in the self-draining, teak-lined cockpit. Two transom doors lead out to a full-beam hydraulic bathing platform that can be used for salt-water swims, peaceful angling or inflatable dinghy storage. A teak sole is joined by an L-shaped sofa in plush marine-grade upholstery and a timber dining table to port, while to starboard there is a loveseat and a wet-bar station with a fridge, a sink and an outdoor grill. Up front a pair of Pompanette helm chairs face a sporty dashboard with a Volvo HelmView monitoring screen, digital throttles, a Penta docking joystick, hand-held VHF, a mounted compass and two Raymarine E120 display screens.
A spacious and elegant lower deck lined in golden timber with an Amtico sole isn’t just for sleeping. Down here there is a leather-lined L-shaped sofa surrounding a table with an open galley to starboard that boasts Corian countertops, a two-zone hob, an oven, Norcold chilled storage and a steel sink. Up front there is a master stateroom with skylights, cedar-lined lockers, a queen-sized bed and plush carpeting, while to aft there is another cabin with a double bed, a hanging locker and an extra single bed. Rooms down here share a single head facility with a sink, a flush toilet and an enclosed shower stall with bench seating.
A pair of 435HP Volvo Penta D6 IPS600 diesel pod-drive engines rocket this yacht to top speeds of approximately 32 knots, while at a cruising speed of 21 knots you will enjoy a range of around 300 nautical miles.
