The Riviera 39 Open Flybridge is a 43-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was launched by the award-winning Australian yacht-building company Riviera Yachts in 2019. Defined by Riviera’s signature clean lines that blend the best of classic yachting with the very latest in modern design, this yacht will likely be the most stylish out on the water wherever you want to go. Swooping curves and panoramic glazing are joined by elegant living spaces perfect for friends and family, while a rugged offshore hull and swift engines offer sublime seakeeping.
The feel is plush and contemporary up on the al-fresco flybridge, where a Bimini sunshade can be erected in mere minutes for shelter from the midday rays. A low-slung L-shaped sofa to aft surrounds a table with cup-holders, while a twin sofa to starboard and seating facing the port-side upper helm complete the offering in this elevated space.
A double-width sunpad in marine-grade upholstery with backrests and integrated cup-holders provides the perfect setting for lazy afternoons spent soaking up the rays and sipping on refreshments. The vast, teak-lined aft-cockpit, meanwhile, blends sporty fun with plenty of opportunity to relax. A fold-away transom sofa is joined by a mezzanine sofa that can be transformed into a daybed, while an extending timber-lined table will be used for drinks and outdoor lunches. There is also a transom wet-bar station with an outdoor grill, a sink and chilled storage out here, while leisure uses are encouraged via a transom door that leads out to a full-beam bathing platform with a swim ladder and a wash-down hose. Steel-framed glazed doors open up to lead guests into the lavish oak-lined salon, where a U-shaped dining sofa with a table sits across from an open aft-galley with white Corian work surfaces, a steel sink, a single-zone hob, a combination oven and under-counter fridge-freezer units. Depending on your preference you can add an extra loveseat down here or make room for a lower helm station for all-weather piloting. The tiered dashboard features Volvo or Garmin Glass Cockpit touchscreens, Trim Assist switches, a CZone tablet, Penta joystick handling, a mounted compass, and a hand-wrapped, power-assisted steering wheel.
The spacious lower deck is split between two cabins for up to five overnight guests. A twin room amidship boasts strip hull glazing, bedside cabinets, a locker and room for a sofa or an extra bed. The master stateroom to the bow benefits from a skylight, a queen-sized bed, plush carpeting, a full-height storage locker and direct access to the yacht’s main head, where a porcelain bowl sink and a flush toilet are joined by a walk-in waterfall shower cubicle.
An ocean-tested bluewater hull provides a capable performer in offshore conditions, and has been paired with a pair of 440HP Volvo Penta D6 IPS600 pod-drive diesels for top speeds of up to 34 knots at full-throttle. The best and most efficient cruising speed clocks in at approximately 25 knots, and at this speed you will enjoy a cruising range of over 291 nautical miles, more than enough for ambitious island-hopping.
