The Ocean Alexander 82 Cockpit Motoryacht is a world-class 82-foot superyacht launched by the Taiwanese brand in 2013. A graceful profile will make you proud to have this vessel in dock, while chic interiors, a versatile extended cockpit, and a stunning flybridge redefine the concept of luxury entertainment. There are two version of this yacht: an open flybridge for those who enjoy full contact with the elements, or a skylounge for those who prefer a more enclosed, private space.
A swim platform with moveable safety rails turns into an extended lower cockpit with all the amenities you need to fish, with a livewell and tackle storage, or simply watch the action from the stern. Here you will find the flip-up entry to the crew quarters, which sleeps up to two. Two short stairways on either side lead to a California deck with curved seating and a teak table, perfect for al fresco dining or cocktails rustled up at the nearby wet bar and fridge.
Two glass doors open onto the well-appointed salon, suffused with natural light from the side windows. Rich Japanese cherrywood paneling and cabinetry elevate and brighten the mood. An inviting L-shaped sofa with a coffee table sits to starboard, a built-in wet bar with icemaker. The forward section of the yacht features a starboard day head and a hallway that leads to the country kitchen and dining area. Wraparound countertops feature two sinks, a cooktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, trash compactor and a French-door refrigerator. A large curvy dinette forward and to port allows you to converse with your guest as you cook and entertain. Just starboard is the fully-equipped two-seat helmstation. On the skylounge version of this yacht, there is a more formal dining room that replaces the lower helm.
The flybridge is one of the standout features on this yacht, with space for tender and a launching crane on the aft deck, and an expansive forward lounge area with a U-shaped outdoor dining area and an impressive wet bar with five stools. The helmstation is positioned forward and slightly to port, with three Stidd seats. The skylounge version is nearly identical but is enclosed by stunning glazing.
A starboard staircase near the galley leads below deck to three well-appointed staterooms that sleep up to six. An amidships full-beam owner’s suite boasts plenty of natural light thanks to three windows on either side, a centrally-positioned king-sized bed just steps away from a substantial en suite bathroom with walk-in shower, a built-in sideboard with storage, a vanity table and nightstands. A portside guest cabin with two twin beds enjoys access to the starboard day head, while the VIP cabin is located forward at the bow. This third cabin features a queen bed with an en suite bathroom.
The 82 CMY is powered by two MTU 1,920hp engines that reached top speeds of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 18.5 knots and 471nm. These speeds were recorded in a sea trial carried out by Ocean Alexander under realistic weight conditions, with 11 people on board to ensure their specifications were achievable.
