The Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence Coupe is a 47-foot coupe-style open boat launched by the iconic Taiwanese yacht firm Ocean Alexander in 2020. It seems like an understatement to call this stylish, modern, quick vessel an entry-level boat, as the finesse of design, quality of finish and level of innovation on offer here is truly top-of-the-range. Effortlessly sleek and sporty from profile, this yacht represents a break from the norm for a company that is more typically seen launching lavish super-yachts. Sharing a hull with its sibling yacht the 45 Divergence Sport, this yacht differs from that model by presenting a radically altered main-deck layout, an enclosed cockpit and entirely new lower deck cabins that turn this sporty vessel from mere day-boat into genuine overnight cruiser.
This is a remarkably customizable yacht, with up to 400 design elements on offer for prospective buyers to mix and match. What each iteration of the 45 Divergence Coupe will share, however, is a huge teak-lined aft-cockpit that can be fitted with a weatherproofed transom sofa, a pop-up timber table, integrated speakers, a Sureshade awning and a wet-bar with an ice-chipper, a Kenyon grill, a Scandik sink and Webasto chilled storage. Two electrohydraulic fold-out bulwarks turn into spacious side terraces at the touch of a button, expanding the cockpit space significantly, providing room for waterside cocktail tables. To aft there is a teak-lined, full-beam swim platform and a transom trunk accessed via a glazed transom door and a single step, though you will have to negotiate your way past the four outboards to reach the water. This sits across from an L-shaped sofa with a Hi-Lo table perfect for coffee or meal service.
