The Ocean Alexander 32 Legend is a 106-foot luxury superyacht with a flybridge by the award-winning Taiwanese yacht firm Ocean Alexander in 2022. Combining the seaworthiness of a trawler yacht with the style and amenities of a floating penthouse, the 32 Legend boasts sharp lines, cutaway gunwales, hi-tech design interventions and sun-kissed lounge spaces crafted by renowned naval stylist Evan K. Marshall. A rugged, ocean-going hull, muscular and efficient engines as well as roomy, sedate interiors make this sleek and modern vessel a great choice for those who enjoy elegant and horizon-busting voyages.
The skybridge on this model is split between an enclosed upper lounge and an aft-deck sundeck, making this elevated and adaptable space the ideal retreat whatever the weather. To the rear there is room for a full-beam sunpad that surrounds a jacuzzi spa-pool and an L-shaped dining sofa as well as a walk-in wet-bar with bar stools, an ice-chipper, refrigeration, a sink, granite or marble surfaces and a stand-alone barbecue grill. Across the front portion of the bridge there is an enclosed lounge with a pair of sofas, pale oak floors, a lacquered coffee table, another wet bar, an upper head and the yacht’s main helm station. This centrally located helm boasts Stidd helm chairs, three Garmin multi-functional touchscreens with integrated controls, trim tab and thruster controls, Furuno VHF, a marine camera and Side Power Vector Fin stabilizer switches.
A triple width sunpad out on the foredeck is joined by a shaded and teak-lined aft cockpit down on the main deck, where you will discover a C-shaped transom sofa with a pop-up table that can be converted into a sunpad. A full-beam hydraulic swimming platform back here is sturdy enough to host your jet tender, while a transom door allows for access to an aft crew quarters.
Aluminum-framed windows and sliding glass doors throw plenty of natural light across a main-deck salon lined in varnished timber with golden-hued backlighting, white leather furnishings, glossy surfaces and sleek cabinetry. There is an L-shaped sofa to aft and a formal dining table for up to ten guests that sits between a pair of sliding glass side doors that can be thrown wide open to establish contact with the open sea air. Ahead of this there is a Euro-style enclosed galley with marble counter-tops, a Sub-Zero fridge, a wine chiller, a Wolf oven and hob, a stainless-steel sink and plenty of storage space.
Ocean Alexander have decided to dedicate the front of the main-deck to a private owner’s stateroom that benefits from sloping windows, a side sofa, a chaise-longue, a king-sized bed, a work-desk, a mounted HDTV, bedside cabinets and access to an incredible sunken bathroom with stone surfaces, a pair of couple’s sinks and a sauna-style wet-room so big you could almost live in it.
Four more lavishly appointed en-suite double or twin cabins on the lower deck provide room for eight guests, and each come with panoramic side glazing, plush carpeting, head clearance, masses of closet space and stone-lined bathrooms with shower cubicles.
A pair of 1900mhp MAN V12 diesel engines push this yacht to top speeds of 23 knots with consistent cruising speeds not far off this full-throttle pace. More importantly for a long-distance is, of course, stamina, and the 32 Legend enjoys a globe-trotting range of 3,495nm at a comfortable cruising speed of 10 knots.
