The Ocean Alexander 32 Explorer is a 102-foot luxury explorer yacht that was launched by the award-winning Taiwanese yacht-building firm Ocean Alexander at the 2023 Miami International Boat Show. Crafted in partnership with long-standing collaborator Evan K. Marshall, this sleek and futuristic vessel has been precision-engineered for long-distance offshore expeditions, with heavy-duty engines, a double-height wave-slicing bow entry and a rugged semi-displacement hull in reinforced fiberglass that will devour the oceans. Imperious and commanding from profile, this yacht presents geometric lines, widescreen glazing, lavish sun-decks and tasteful interiors, allowing guests to voyage in utter comfort and style.
The elevated, teak-lined foredeck features a secluded retreat for an array of guests, with a Portuguese Bridge-style sofa wrapping around a timber-lined breakfast table, and a sunpad for up to four guests with views out to the horizon and flip-up headrests. Further al-fresco space on this level is located to aft, where a marble-lined wet-bar with a grill and an ice-chipper sits across from a lavish U-shaped lounge sofa and a coffee table. Bookending this level are a twin-set of modular sunpads that surround a jacuzzi spa-pool ideal for sipping on champagne and enjoying the bubbles. Head beyond a set of sliding glass doors and into the upper-lounge to discover a sophisticated cocktail bar with stools and mixing facilities, along with a bespoke L-shaped sofa that surrounds a custom-built coffee table. At the front of this level is an open pilot-house with two leather-clad piloting seats facing ship-style helm controls with power-steering, a trio of oversized touch-screen monitors, joystick handling, thruster controls and more.
One level down you will find a shaded aft-deck lined in parquet-style teak with a trio of leather sofas, along with side-steps down to a beach-club area. Down here you will find one of the market’s largest swim platforms with fold-down bulwarks that increase the dimensions and operate as floating terraces. What’s more a set of curved garden doors open up to reveal a hidden water-level lounge and bar, while an actuating platform to stern helps swimmers get in and out of the water with ease. Floor-to-ceiling glazing, grey oak surrounds, plush neutral-toned carpeting, marbled accents and steel fixtures give the main-deck salon a sedate and restrained vibe, while an aft wet-bar and a pair of sprawling sofas add comfort and convenience. Further forward there is a dining table for ten, a live-aboard galley and a full-beam stateroom with a king-sized bed, a work desk, a set of armchairs, picture-frame hull windows, and a private bathroom with a shower and a bath-tub.
On the lower-deck, meanwhile, there is space aplenty for eight more overnight guests across four serene staterooms, with each cabin boasting plush en-suite facilities with shower stalls. A pair of VIP double staterooms sit amidship, while there is a twin room to port, but the pick of the bunch down here is a full-beam stateroom by the bow with a king-sized bed, a love-seat, a work desk and masses of storage. Extra accommodation for crew is located to stern and features private facilities.
Powered by twin 2000HP MAN V12 diesel engines, you can expect top speeds to hit 21 knots and efficient cruising at around 18 knots. The fuel tank holds up to 3,600 gallons, so you can enjoy multi-week cruises at an economy cruise of around 10 knots before returning to port for a top-up.
