The Ocean Alexander 30 Revolution is a 97-foot luxury flybridge motoryacht launched by the respected Taiwan-based yacht firm Ocean Alexander in 2021. Designed by Evan K. Marshall and Arrabito Naval Architects, the 30R is based on the same popular form that made the 90R a bestseller. This new, larger model combines the best features of a long-distance expedition yacht with the contemporary styling and lavish amenities of a super-yacht. A double-height vertical bow, a tri-deck layout, dynamic geometric glazing, cutaway gunwales, super-sleek lines and a host of lavish outdoor spaces catch the eye immediately from profile, while hand-finished, deluxe interiors boast a sedate and palatial atmosphere.
This Ocean Alexander yacht comes with two alternating bridge layouts, with the Skydeck option offering a larger enclosed bridge and the NGP featuring more outdoor bridge space and a compact pilothouse. This level stretches from bow to stern, with a sprawling foredeck space featuring a Portuguese Bridge sofa in leatherette with a breakfast table and a triple-width sunpad with stunning, elevated views. To the rear there is room for a jacuzzi spa-pool surrounded by a diadem of sunpads, while amidship there is space for two swish lounge spaces with sofas, a dining table and a wet-bar. Should you choose the Skydeck option then one of these lounges will be located in the pilothouse, sitting along a centrally located upper helm with a carbon-fiber dashboard, three Garmin touch-screen panels, thruster controls, Furuno VHF, Stidd Helm chairs and a navigation desk.
Down on the main-deck there is a sheltered aft-cockpit lined in teak with a U-shaped transom sofa and a marble-topped wet-bar console with a grill. Side steps lead down to a huge, hydraulic swimming platform that can be used to store a water tender, and a glazed transom garage door that opens to reveal a spacious aft-beach club with a sofa, a wet-bar and integrated speakers.
The main-deck salon is a masterclass in restrained elegance, boasting pale oak floors, steel surrounds, floor-to-ceiling windows, sliding glass doors to the rear and sides, tempered glass and marble surfaces and bespoke contemporary furnishings. There is a walk-in wet bar to aft while slightly ahead of this sits a serene lounge with velvety soft carpeting, a pair of sofas and a coffee table. A formal dining table for up to ten guests separates the salon from an enclosed, Euro-style galley featuring authentic stonework surfaces, a pair of Wolf oven, a four-zone hob, a Sub-Zero fridge, a steel sink and a set of wine coolers. At the front of the main deck there is a private owner’s stateroom featuring a stand-alone work-desk, a king-sized bed, bedside cabinets, a pair of armchairs, two walk-in cedar-lined closets and a bathroom with a tub, a waterfall shower, marble accents and a window to the bow.
There is room across the lower-deck for eight more overnight guests, with each of the four cabins boasting lavish en-suite facilities. Rooms down here benefit from panoramic hull glazing, plush carpeting, cushioned wall paneling, masses of storage and good head clearance. There is also a crew quarters located aft with its own private facilities that can host up to six members of staff.
The 30 Revolution’s semi-displacement hull in gel-coated fiberglass comes with a CE-certification rating of A, making it a great choice for genuine offshore cruising. A pair of 1900MHP MAN V12 diesel shaft-drive engines fire this yacht to top speeds of around 23 knots with consistent cruising speeds of 18 knots. At a leisurely 10 knots, meanwhile, you can enjoy a range of approximately 2,040 nautical miles, more than enough for long, lazy summers spent navigating the Adriatic in style.
