The Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer is a 94-foot luxury explorer yacht that was launched by the award-winning Taiwanese yacht-building company Ocean Alexander in 2022. Engineered and designed in partnership with industry icon Evan K. Marshall, this ocean-going watercraft promises offshore expeditions like never before. A sleek and striking profile with a wave-cutting double-height bow entry, geometric curves and masses of tinted glazing deliver a contemporary vibe, while a startling array of deluxe and modern living space make this the perfect option for stylish long-distance cruising with family and friends.
Outdoor decking is lined in parquet-style varnished teak, with the rear portion of the bridge offering a stylish and sunny elevated lounge ideal for soaking up the rays and admiring the views. Back here there is room for a pair of L-shaped leather sofas, a dining table, a wet-bar console with a grill and a full-beam modular sunpad area with a jacuzzi spa-pool at its heart. Step beyond sliding glass doors and into the sedate upper-lounge to find the perfect place to enjoy late-night digestifs at a swish U-shaped sofa, with a marble-topped wet-bar to starboard. Up front there is a ship-style set of helm controls, two leather piloting seats and all of the high-tech navigational tools needed for ambitious voyages, including joystick handling, thruster controls, stabilizer switches, an Octoplex system and Garmin touch-screen instrumentation. At the very front of this raised level there is also a secluded foredeck lounge with an elevated sunpad for up to four sunbathers and a private bow-lounge with a U-shaped sofa, a bespoke breakfast table and uninterrupted views to the horizon.
A shaded aft-deck one level down impresses with space for a transom sofa, another wet-bar and side-steps down to a vast bathing platform with beach club dimensions robust enough to host two jet-tenders and a hydraulic davit. The main-deck lounge boasts exotic hardwood surrounds, neutral-toned carpeting, cinema-screen windows, leather furnishings and plenty of marbled accents. In here you can expect a huge L-shaped sofa and a dining table for up to ten guests, while beyond a paneled bulkhead there is a live-aboard galley. Towards the front of the main-deck there is a full-beam owner’s stateroom with a king-sized bed, a work-desk, a lounge, curved forward glazing, a walk-in dressing-room, and a huge bathroom with two ceramic bowl sinks and a wet-room shower. There’s sleeping space for up to eight more overnight guests on a subdued and peaceful lower-deck across four staterooms each with spa-like en-suite facilities lined in marble. A VIP stateroom by the bow is joined by a twin cabin to starboard and two double cabins amidship, while there’s extra galley and storage facilities on this level. A crew quarters sits to aft and is accessed via a transom door for added privacy.
Powered by twin 1650HP MAN V12 engines, you can expect top speeds of around 20 knots and a smooth cruising pace of at least 10 knots. At this lower speed you will enjoy an offshore range of approximately 1,215 nautical miles thanks in part to a 2,980-gallon fuel tank and also due to this vessel’s proprietary blend of GRP, fiberglass and lamination across the robust displacement hull and lightweight superstructure.
