The Horizon PC65 is a 65-foot luxury power catamaran that was launched by award-winning Taiwanese yacht-building firm Horizon Yachts in 2017. A dual-hulled design has been crafted by Angelo Lavranos to deliver true bluewater cruising to those hard-to-reach destinations, while a finish styled by J.C. Espinosa guarantees panache, elegance and a super-sleek look. With a beam of almost 25-feet, deluxe fittings throughout, a curvaceous flair to the exterior and a rugged build-quality, the PC65 is the perfect option for those who desire space, seek adventure and admire sophistication.
You can opt for a fully-open flybridge covered by a floating hard-top or go with a split bridge that is divided between an aft sun terrace and a climate-controlled forward lounge. On both options there is space to the rear for sun-loungers and a bar, while a hydraulic davit back here can be used for tender storage and lifting. Further forward you will find seating options including an L-shaped sofa, a walk-in wet-bar with stools and the vessel’s main helm station. This modern helm comes with a pair of Stidd helm seats, a trio of Garmin MFD screens, Side Power thruster controls, power-steering, a high-speed compass, trim-tab switches, VHF radio and more.
You will truly appreciate this watercraft’s broad beam out on the foredeck, where there is chic sunpad space for at least four guests to work on their summer tan. The side-decks are broad, too, and lead back to a sheltered and teak-lined aft-deck with plenty of space to unwind. Back here there is a bar, a dining table for six guests and a curving transom sofa. Two sets of side-steps lead down to entirely separate swim platforms attached to the end of each hull that are joined together by a hydraulic bathing platform that can be raised and lowered at the touch of a button.
The vast salon has the sort of room associated with much larger vessels, and this space can be customized to suit your lifestyle. Choose from an array of satin-finished timbers, plush carpeting styles and decadent surfaces like granite, marble or Corian, while sliding glass doors to aft, mood lighting and ultra-widescreen side windows keep this area feeling bright and breezy. Many clients choose to keep an open galley kitchen on this level with bar-stools and high-end appliances, while an L-shaped sofa, coffee tables, armchairs and Ottomans will also feature. At the front of this deck there is a master stateroom with a king-sized bed, a walk-in closet and a vast bathroom with a dedicated wet-room shower and two sinks.
There’s a trio of en-suite staterooms on the lower-decks, with a port-side twin boasting capacious storage. To starboard there are a pair of double cabins with walk-in closets, porthole glazing, skylights and plenty of room to breathe.
Powered by two 850HP Caterpillar C12 shaft-drives, you can anticipate top speeds of around 23 knots at a half-load, while twin 750 gallon fuel tanks have been optimized for long-distance offshore voyages. Settle in to a 10 knot cruising pace, for instance, and you can expect to ride this splendid catamaran for up to 1,000 nautical miles.
