The Horizon PC60 is a 61-foot luxury power catamaran that was launched by award-winning Taiwan-based yacht firm Horizon Yachts in 2013. Head up to the bridge to discover an aft sun-terrace with room for al-fresco seating, bar facilities and, thanks to a Steelhead davit, space for your modern jet-tender. The front half of the bridge benefits from a wrap-around hood with 360-degrees of rounded glazing, a plush L-shaped sofa with a bespoke table, a walk-in bar with stools and two companion sofas either side of a central Stidd helm seat. At the elevated helm station you will find superb visibility, a trio of 22-inch Garmin MFD screens, Side Power bow and stern thruster controls, a ZipWake trim-tab system, power-steering, hand-held VHF, a high-speed compass and space for a slew of optional extras.
You can really appreciate the sheer width of this catamaran down on the main-deck. On the foredeck there is room to install a modular sunpad for up to six guests to simultaneously soak up the rays. Follow metallic guardrails back to the aft-deck to encounter a shaded, teak-lined relaxation zone with a bar, a Hi-Lo dining table and a wide transom sofa ideal for afternoon meals. Two sets of curved side-steps lead down to individual bathing platforms at the rear of each hull.
Main-deck layouts and interior treatments are subject to customization, but you can anticipate finding deluxe hardwoods, refined carpeting, bronzed highlights, mood lighting and a hint of decadence in here. There is space for a set of lounge sofas, a dining table and even a walk-in galley kitchen with Corian countertops, Miele appliances, a SUMMIT wine-chiller, capacious refrigeration and a pair of sinks.
The front section of the main-deck benefits from sloping mullioned windows that let the natural light flow in, and this space can be arranged in a number of different ways. Host meals in a dining room, reconfigure this quarter as a focused pilot-house or a forward-lounge, or craft the ultimate main-deck owner’s stateroom up here with full-beam dimensions and room to relax and unwind.
There are at least three en-suite staterooms on the lower-decks, accessed via separate staircases. To port there is a twin cabin with ample storage and an extra space that can be used as a bunk-berth, a main-head or for storage, while to starboard there is another twin cabin and a VIP double with a spa-like bathroom and oversized oval windows.
Twin hulls with planing wedges to aft, fine V-shaped wave-breaking entries and a durable but lightweight construction offer plenty of natural stability, buoyancy and verve while enhancing efficiency for long-range cruising. You can pick between a pair of 800HP MAN i6 engines or two 715HP Cummins QSM 11 diesels to fire this catamaran to top speeds in excess of 23 knots in ideal conditions, while at an 18 knot cruising speed you will enjoy a range of up to 551 nautical miles thanks to a 1,000 gallon fuel tank.
