The Horizon P110 is a 110-foot tri-deck superyacht that was launched by the award-winning Taiwanese yacht-building company Horizon in 2013. The sheer scale of this vessel, its wave-slicing bow, rugged build-quality and high-powered propulsion methods suggest a piece of machinery ready for business. But it’s not just this yacht’s long-range cruising capabilities that set it apart. A sleek profile with sharp aerodynamic lines, wrap-around glazing, teak brightwork and an array of plush outdoor spaces give this watercraft a stylish and comfortable edge, perfect for the whole family.
Head up onto the open-air flybridge to discover soaring views, room for a dining table, an L-shaped sofa and a well-stocked wet-bar console, while outdoor piloting happens at a central helm station. One level down you will find an aft sun-terrace with space for a Steelhead davit and tender storage, a set of sun loungers or an optional jacuzzi plunge-pool. Head through a set of sliding glass doors to discover an upper pilot-house lined in authentic timber with a U-shaped dining sofa, bar facilities, a map desk and a climate-controlled helm with a Stidd helm chair, five 15-inch Furuno MFD screens, multi-frequency radio, a Maretron monitoring system, ABT-Trac zero-speed stabilizers, bow and stern thruster controls, a high-speed compass and more.
This yacht really comes into its own down on the main-deck, where a forward love-seat and a double-width sunpad with actuating backrests occupy a secluded foredeck. To stern there is a teak-lined aft-deck with a semi-circular transom sofa, a bespoke oval dining table, a walk-in wet-bar with granite or marble countertops and side steps down to a full-beam bathing platform. Back here there’s also a separate hydraulic platform to lower guests into the water, and a transom door that opens up to reveal a private crew quarters. Curved sliding glass doors lead into a sophisticated main-deck salon with widescreen windows, mirrored surfaces, lavish use of satin-finished and high-gloss hardwoods and a timeless appeal. Layouts are subject to customization but typical floor-plans include a vast sofa to aft, a formal dining room amidship and, further forward, a country-kitchen with high-end appliances and a U-shaped dining sofa.
Sleeping quarters for up to eight overnight guests occupy the front half of the hull, with cabins on this level boasting generous hull-glazing and dedicated en-suite facilities. Check out a pair of twin cabins with full-height lockers or make your way to the bow where the VIP double stateroom boasts an island bed, two closets and a spa-like bathroom. The full-beam master stateroom is positioned amidship and presents guests with a queen-sized bed, a work-desk, a side sofa, two double-width closets, mullioned windows and two bathrooms that are joined together by a wet-room lined in granite with a rainforest-style shower.
Twin 1660HP Caterpillar C32 ACERT shaft-drive diesel engines power this yacht to top speeds of around 22 knots, not bad for a 122 ton piece of kit. At sedate cruising speeds of around 10 knots you will enjoy long-haul offshore adventures thanks to a fuel capacity of 4,200 gallons, while the heavy-duty category-A fiberglass hull has been primed for bluewater trips.
