The Horizon FD90 is a 90-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was launched by the iconic Taiwanese yacht-building company Horizon in 2022. The latest in this line of fast displacement vessels designed by industry legend Cor D. Rover, the FD90 is primed for adventurous offshore cruising in style. An ultra-assertive exterior blends sharp and expansive glazing with strong horizontal lines, a sheer and streamlined look and masses of sun-kissed lounge space, while interiors offer a dash of modern elegance.
The bridge on this model is split between three distinct zones, with two outdoor terraces at either end of this level. Out on the sprawling foredeck there’s a Portuguese Bridge-style forward sofa nestled behind high bulwarks with cocktail tables, bar facilities and room for the entire family. Ahead of this there is a triple-width sunpad with pop-up headrests and access to the side-decks. To the rear there’s another bar, outdoor seating or even an optional jacuzzi, while a Steelhead davit proves ideal for storing and lifting your tender. Head inside the plush upper-lounge to encounter a stylish L-shaped sofa, a bespoke high-gloss timber table and extraordinary views, while a trio of Stidd helm seats face the main helm station. Up here you will find power-steering, a JUNG automation system, Garmin MFD screens, Side Power thruster controls, VHF radio, a compass and room for your optional extras.
A teak-lined aft-cockpit on the main-deck impresses with space for a dining table, a shaded atmosphere and a transom sofa. Side steps back here lead down to an extended, teak-lined swimming platform with a detachable hydraulic section and a garage door that opens up to reveal a beach club lounge with a sofa, a walk-in bar-galley and a crew quarters beyond that. The vast main-deck salon features cream-toned carpeting, cinema-screen glazing, a trio of sliding glass doors, recessed mood lighting and a blend of natural hardwoods, including African koto, pale oak and rich walnut, along with accents in brass, crystal, quartz and marble. A tasteful selection of armchairs and Ottomans, coffee tables and cabinets combine with an L-shaped sofa and a ten-seater timber dining table in a space that blends the contemporary with a distinctly Art Deco vibe. Ahead of this there’s a live-aboard galley with high-end appliances, while a full-beam owner’s stateroom on this level lined in leather-effect upholstery and dark lacquer boasts full-beam dimensions, a king-sized bed, a walk-in closet, a work desk, a side sofa, panoramic glazing and a rectangular skylight. The en-suite bathroom is semi-open for a spa-like feel and features a pair of marble sinks, grain-matched timber surfaces, backlit vanity mirrors and a waterfall shower room.
Lower-deck cabins are no less impressive, and there’s space down here for three double staterooms with expansive hull windows, queen-beds, double-width closets and private en-suite bathrooms with wet-room showers. Also available on this level is an extra service and galley area, though some clients will opt to exchange this for a fourth lower-deck cabin.
