The Horizon FD75 is a 75-foot luxury flybridge yacht that was launched by the iconic Taiwanese yacht-building firm Horizon Yachts in 2020. A stunning modern form crafted by industry legend Cor D. Rover presents plenty of sleek lines and sharp angles, acres of tinted glazing and an assertive, modern profile. Though this is the most compact of the current Fast Displacement series of vessels, it’s still a hefty piece of nautical engineering, primed for pacey cruising, at-sea luxury and undeniable class.
The elevated flybridge is split between an outdoor area to aft and an optional climate-controlled pilothouse forward, though some clients will choose the more elemental, fully-open lay-out up here. To the rear there’s space for your sun-loungers or, thanks to a hydraulic davit, room to store a modern jet-tender. Step indoors to discover a contemporary-themed upper-lounge with 360-degrees of wrap-around glazing, striped teak decking, a walk-in bar, low-slung sofas and a central helm station. Featuring two Stidd helm seats, this mammoth dashboard also hosts triple Raymarine touch-screens, a leather-clad and power-assisted steering wheel, zero-speed stabilizer switches, bow and stern thruster controls, autopilot, a high-speed compass and more.
Head down to the foredeck to discover a Portuguese bridge-style sofa and a diamond-shaped sunpad big enough to host a trio of sun-seekers, while to stern there is a sprawling transom sofa and a set of Valdenassi director’s chairs surrounding an oversized dining table designed for multi-dish meals. Twin staircases lead down to a hydraulic bathing platform robust enough to lift a tender, as well as a hidden cabana lounge with seating, bar facilities and a discreet head, ideal for creating that beach-club vibe.
Interiors are subject to customization, but you can expect a lavish and modern main-deck lounge lined in dark exotic timber, extensive use of veined marble panels, dynamic strip lighting, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, lattice timber wall dividers, leather sofas and plenty of room to relax and unwind. To aft there is a walk-in galley with high-end cooking appliances, a wine cooler, Cambrian quartz work-surfaces and a breakfast bar, while further forward there is room for a dining table, seating and your choice of an open or enclosed main-deck wheelhouse.
You can opt for a range of layouts on the lower-deck, where rooms benefit from widescreen hull windows, though the most popular choice may be a classic three-room, three-head arrangement. This creates overnight space for up to 6 guests, with each cabin boasting queen-sized beds, full-beam dimensions, ample walk-in closet space, side seating and decadent bathrooms with glass-enclosed shower stalls and a custom marble finish. Alternatively you can sculpt a bit of extra room out of one of the staterooms to create a fourth cabin or a laundry and utility room, while the water-level cabana lounge can be exchanged for stern-side crew quarters.
Powered by a pair of 1136HP Caterpillar C18A inboard motors or a twin-set of 1200HP MAN 2868 diesels, you can expect a top speed of approximately 20 knots, while at a cruising speed of around 14 knots you could remain out on the water all week long thanks to a 2,400 gallon fuel tank. A rugged category-A hull with a propriety wave-slicing bow entry has been optimized for efficiency, helping to maximize your time offshore, while both hard and soft chines deliver a stable and swift ride.
