The Horizon FD100 Skyline is a 101-foot luxury flybridge yacht that was launched by award-winning Taiwanese yacht-building firm Horizon in 2018. Horizon enlisted the talents of naval designer Cor D. Rover to craft a sleek exterior form with an ultra-aggressive double height wave-slicing entry, while strong horizontal lines with extensive glazing and structural flares give this model a streamlined and contemporary look. The Skyline edition of the FD100 differs from its sibling vessel by the addition of a discreet skybridge, making this the perfect superyacht for sun-saturated exploration.
Open-air, skyscraper-style views are available on the teak-lined bridge, where an assortment of upholstered sofas and sunpads share space with a chunky wet-bar station and an outdoor helm. Yet the al-fresco fun doesn’t stop here. Head one level down and you will find a pair of sun-kissed terraces, with the one by the bow defined by a huge U-shaped sofa with a pair of timber-lined cocktail tables and a triple-width sunpad with sensational views. The other outdoor space to the rear boasts a plunge-pool jacuzzi, a walk-in bar with marbled surfaces and stools and extra space to aft for sun-loungers or tender storage with a davit. A tasteful upper-lounge on this level features authentic timber surrounds, a plush leather sofa, bar facilities, a home entertainment system and a forward pilothouse with three adjustable helm seats. This ship-style dash features great visibility, a trio of oversized touch-screens, power-assisted steering, thruster controls, a high-speed compass, VHF radio and room for your optional extras.
A vast shaded retreat on the main-level aft-deck hosts a marbled bar and room for either a bespoke dining table or a four-piece set of sofas, with the largest nestled right up against the transom. Side steps lead down to a full-beam, teak-lattice swim platform with hydraulic function and a garage door that lifts up to reveal a water-level cabana lounge with bar facilities for the ultimate beach-club experience. The main-deck salon is a symphony of stylish design and high-class materials, including satin-finished timber, a pale oak sole, widescreen glazing, metallic fixtures, Rhiannon glass chandeliers and quartz highlights. Layouts are subject to customization but expect to find an L-shaped sofa, armchairs and Ottomans, a formal dining table for up to ten and a semi-enclosed live-aboard kitchen with high-end appliances and plenty of storage. The front portion of this deck, meanwhile, is occupied by a full-beam stateroom with walk-in closet space, a king-sized bed, a side sofa, a work-desk and two deluxe bathrooms that are connected by a wet-room shower.
There is space for up to eight more overnight guests on the lower-deck, with each cabin down here benefitting from en-suite facilities and dynamic hull glazing. Two double staterooms amidship are joined by a port-side twin, while a VIP cabin by the bow offers a bit of extra room to relax and unwind. There is also a separate crew quarters with private dining facilities located to stern, accessible via the beach-club lounge.
Twin 1600HP Caterpillar C32A engines deliver top speeds of over 20 knots at full-throttle, while at 10 knots you’ll be ready for week-long voyages offshore thanks to a 4,000 gallon fuel tank. This yacht’s fiberglass displacement hull comes with a class-A certification and has been designed for true offshore voyaging, while a proprietary High Performance Piercing Bow entry eats up the waves with aplomb.
