The Horizon EP110 is a 108-foot luxury explorer yacht produced by award-winning Taiwanese yacht-building company Horizon Yachts between 2013 and 2017. Primed for offshore expeditions, this beautiful class-A yacht challenges the seas with a steel monohull, a wave-slicing plumb-bow, rugged propulsion methods and a sturdy build-quality. A collaborative effort between the in-house Horizon team, naval stylist J.C. Espinosa and engineering firm Marine Technology Department, this vessel boasts a classic streamlined form with plenty of subtle curves and a plethora of lavish and tasteful living spaces.
A teak-lined flybridge sits under a floating hard-top and comes with room to aft for a set of sun-loungers and space forward for a modular sunpad zone that surrounds a circular jacuzzi spa-pool. Across the shaded middle section there is a walk-in bar with five bar stools and a curving, hook-shaped sofa that surrounds an extending dining table for al-fresco meals. The foredeck, meanwhile, is split between business and pleasure, with a triple-width sunpad on the upper level and, down towards the bow, a storage area for two jet-tenders with a Steelhead hydraulic davit.
The upper-deck on this model features an aft-terrace with comfortable seating and a sophisticated upper-lounge with climate-control, bar facilities, a poker table and a sofa. At the front of this level there’s a sedate pilothouse with companion seating, a map-desk and two helm seats facing a modern dashboard with power-steering, Furuno navigation tech, MFD screens, Simrad autopilot, ABT stabilizer switches and room for your optional extras.
A curved transom sofa awaits on the main-level aft-deck, where two sets of curving side-steps lead down to a bathing platform and a transom door that lifts up to reveal a water-level beach-club. Step indoors to find a free-flowing salon arranged by internationally renowned designer Birgit Schnaase, who has opted for picture-frame windows, lacquered ceiling panels, satin-finished makore wood surrounds and refined carpeting to give this room an undeniably elegant feel. There are three plush sofas and a dining table in here, while a live-aboard galley with stone countertops, plenty of storage and Miele and Bosch appliances sits beyond a partition wall. At the front of this level there is a full-beam master stateroom with a king-sized bed, a private office, two full-height closets, armchairs and twin bathrooms linked by a dramatic wet-room shower. Up to eight overnight guests will enjoy four lower-deck cabins that come with generous hull glazing, timber-lined lockers and en-suite bathrooms with shower stalls. You can exchange one of the cabins down here to make way for a cinema-room, while a separate crew quarters for up to six sits by the bow and comes with private amenities.
Powered by a twin-set of 1100HP MAN 2842 LE410 motors or a pair of 1136HP Caterpillar C18 ACERT shaft-drive engines, you can expect a top speed of around 13 knots. Settle in to a 10-knot economy cruise to enjoy up to 3,000 nautical miles of continuous cruising thanks to a fuel tank holding up to 9510 gallons of diesel.
