The HCB Estrella is a 65-foot luxury sportfishing vessel that was launched by the iconic American yacht-building company HCB in 2018. This sublime watercraft is not just the largest center-console fishing yacht ever built but perhaps the most impressive, too. Sleek horizontal lines with a gentle slope to transom and a flared bow entry designed to deflect spray are joined by custom gel-coatings, teak surrounds, a vast sports cockpit and supreme relaxation space for the entire family. Tournament-ready fishing equipment, meanwhile, has been matched with powerful propulsion and an agile class-B fibreglass hull for an adrenalin-pumping fishing experience.
Out on the foredeck guests will immediately be impressed by a double-width daybed with backrests, armrests and cup-holders, while V-shaped seating snug up against the bow comes with a pop-up breakfast table and the opportunity to repurpose this area as a pair of chaise-longues or one sprawling sunpad. Hidden under the cushions you can expect to find ice-boxes, fish-boxes and sports storage, while padded coamings and integrated rod-holders throughout the walk-around deck give anglers 360-degree access to the water.
Head back to the teak-lined aft-cockpit where you can find a fish-focused zone with a slew of amenities. Two coolers to transom are joined by twin 80-gallon livewells with glazed panels, in-sole fish-boxes, snug rod-racks built into the gunwale, two side lift-gates, rocket launchers and outrigger bases. There’s also a mezzanine sofa and bar facilities including a sink and a grill, though clients can opt to exchange this for a chunky bait-prep and tackle station with extras like an ice-chipper.
There are two rows of plush leather-clad seats hidden under a floating hard-top, with the rear row for relaxing and the front row, complete with arm-rests and pop-up bolsters, facing a helm station hidden behind windscreen glazing. At this next-generation helm you can expect to find a trio of Garmin MFD screens, a teak helm pod with a power-assisted steering wheel, ZF joystick handling, Seakeeper stabilizer switches, a high-speed compass, VHF radio and room for optional extras like a fish-finder or a stereo system linked to the boat’s integrated speakers.
When night falls and the other fishing squads head home you will still be out on the water thanks to a capacious lower-deck living area that boasts sophisticated comfort and space to rest and recuperate. Down here you can expect a lower lounge lined in high-gloss timber with an open galley, a dining sofa with a table, and a dual mirror-television. A dedicated cabin features a double bed, while the overnight capacity reaches five by transforming the sofa into another double and folding down an integrated Pullman bunk bed from the wall. Also on offer on the lower-deck is a spacious bathroom with a marble-lined shower stall, ideal for freshening up.
One of the most powerful boats in its class, there are a range of engine options available for the HCB Estrella. Pick between quint 627HP Seven Marine motors, six 600HP Mercury outboards or five 425HP Yamaha engines, amongst others, to rocket this vessel to top speeds that will blast beyond the 52-knot mark in ideal conditions. Take things a little slower to enjoy multi-day voyages thanks to an efficient running style and a fuel tank holding up to 1730 gallons of juice.
