The Fairline Targa 50 Open is a 51-foot luxury express cruiser that was launched by the award-winning British yacht-building firm Fairline in 2022. Head out onto the foredeck to encounter a double-width sunpad in sedate upholstery where a pair of guests can soak up the rays in perfect solitude. Head towards the aft-cockpit and discover a transom sunpad for a trio of guests with headrests and unobstructed views out to stern. Take a couple of steps down towards a full-beam, teak-lined swim platform as well as a transom garage capable of hosting a Williams 285 tender. The main-deck salon, lined in striped teak, sits under a curved hard-top hood that remains open at the rear for an atmospheric feel, while a retractable sunroof really lets the natural light pour in. A hook-shaped sofa to port has been lined in authentic Italian leather for a plush feel and includes sports lockers under the padded cushions, while a Hi-Lo timber table back here comes with integrated cup-holders to secure your refreshments.
To starboard there’s a set of wet-bar facilities with chilled storage, a sink and an outdoor grill, while further forward there is an L-shaped companion sofa that can be used as a chaise as well as two helm seats facing the helm. This modern helm station comes with power-assisted steering, a high-speed compass, an MFD screen, VHF radio and an IPS joystick as well as an integrated and Bluetooth enabled stereo system.
Head through a glazed companionway door and into a climate-controlled lower-deck living space showcasing a Corian-lined galley with a combination oven, a multi-zone stovetop, refrigeration and a sink, as well as an L-shaped dining sofa and table that can be exchanged for an extra cabin. There are two main staterooms on this level, with a bow cabin boasting two twin beds, a full-height closet and access into a Jack-and-Jill head with a shower unit. The other room is located amidship and comes with full-beam dimensions, a side sofa, bespoke cabinetry, a leather diamond-stitched headboard, a queen bed, expansive hull glazing and a dedicated en-suite with a shower cubicle.
Premium engine options include a twin-set of 550HP Volvo Penta IPS700 D8 engines for top speeds of up to 34 knots, while thanks to a 346-gallon fuel tank you will be out on the water all weekend at lower cruising speeds. A fiberglass planing hull with a category-B rating makes this the perfect option for coastal exploration and island-hopping across the Med.
