The Fairline Targa 50 GT is a 51-foot luxury sportscruiser yacht first introduced by legendary British yacht builder Fairline Yachts in 2022. An entirely new take on a model that originally came out a decade ago, this stylish vessel boasts the sort of soft and sleek curves that are bound to be copied by other yacht-builders in the years to come, powerful Penta engines for thrilling high-speed voyages, deluxe interiors dripping in style and good looks courtesy of naval stylist Alberto Mancini.
A double sunpad in weatherproof upholstery out on the foredeck features cushioned, pop-up headrests and a set of cup-holders so that you can sip on mixed drinks and read your favorite page-turner while working on a summer tan. Fancy a bit more shade as you enjoy al-fresco meals? Then head to the teak-lined aft-cockpit, a space that has been fine-tuned for sophisticated soirees and cozy afternoons. A hook-shaped sofa with backrests traces the transom and port-side of this area and hugs a timber-topped dining table, while to starboard there is hidden storage and a curved wet-bar station that hides not only a sink and chilled storage but a beefy barbecue grill. A glazed transom gate and steps lead down to a submersible, full-beam bathing platform and access to a storage locker or a crew quarters.
Sliding glass doors to the rear, cresting wave side windows and a huge glazed ceiling that is partly retractable above the helm keep the main-deck cockpit well-lit and breezy at all times. Underneath a rounded hood in striking Anthracite, you will discover pale oak floors, carpets crafted from twisted New Zealand wool, paneling in your choice of exotic hardwoods, surfaces in Carrara marble and furnishings in piped leather. To port there is a contemporary U-shaped sofa with an extending table, while to starboard you can choose between a set of cabinets with a home-entertainment system or a main-deck galley. The kitchen will feature a two-zone hob, a combination oven, under-counter refrigeration and a hidden stainless-steel sink, though extra kitchen amenities also feature on the lower deck and benefit from an atrium-style opening. Up front there is starboard helm with two leather helm seats and the latest in navigational tech, while to port there is a companion sofa so guests, too, can enjoy the piloting experience.
An L-shaped dining sofa on the lower deck can make way for an extra twin bunk cabin to starboard if you are expecting more overnight guests, while a twin or double cabin to the bow comes with a skylight, strip glazing, a full-height locker and a marble or granite-clad en suite bathroom. To aft there is a full-beam master stateroom with a king-sized bed, a side sofa, cushioned wall paneling, high-gloss surrounds, custom-built bedside cabinets, widescreen glazing, plenty of storage and a large bathroom with a waterfall shower.
Two 550mhp Volvo Penta IPS700 D8 diesel shaft-drive engines will fire this yacht to top speeds of approximately 32 knots, while a tank holding 346 gallons of diesel should keep you out on the water for long trips spent island-hopping.
