The Targa 45 Open is a gorgeous 47.7-foot luxury motor yacht launched by iconic UK brand Fairline Yachts in 2021. Based on an earlier model of the same name, this sporty, spacious stunner has been reimagined and restyled by renowned naval architect Alberto Mancini for its 2021 debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show.
Thanks to a large aft deck, enormous retractable hardtop and spacious below-deck accommodation, the 45 Open offers seamless indoor-outdoor living and unmatched onboard luxury. Stepping up from the generous swim platform, beyond the transom garage (with space for a jet tender) and roomy sunpad, you’ll find a stunning aft lounge perfect for al fresco dining.
Sheltered from the elements by the hardtop overhang but open to the sea breeze, an extensive L-shaped sofa wraps around a convivial foldaway dining table. This space is sure to be the social heart of the boat, with space for nine people and two waterproof Fusion audio speakers to set the mood. A nearby wet bar behind the helm will ensure no one gets too thirsty, with a sink, fridge, storage, and optional icemaker and grill. The foredeck is dedicated to a large, plush sunpad.
The forward helm area is raised, with a lounge area to port of the helm that ensures the captain will never feel left out of the conversation. The helm itself features twin helm seats, a leather steering wheel, IPS joystick control, a 7-inch Volvo display, a Garmin multi-function display and VHF marine radio, high-speed magnetic compass, full engine instrumentation, and thoughtful details like folding footrests, drinks holders, USB socket, and a manually operated opening window.
Below deck are two stunning cabins, either of which would happily serve as an owner’s suite. In its standard configuration, the Targa 45 Open features an amidships cabin with a full-length double bed, a portside loveseat beneath a wide hull window, and an ensuite bathroom complete with walk-in shower, silent-flush toilet, vanity unit locker, sink, mirror, and opening porthole for airflow. The starboard bed is situated beneath another hullside window, giving it a bright, cheerful aspect, with two nightstands on either side. A full-length mirror, opening portholes, reading lights and wardrobe give this space all the comforts of a home away from home. For those with kids or multiple guests, this cabin can be fitted with two single beds.
The forward suite can be found forward and enjoys much of the same amenities as amidships cabin, with an ensuite bathroom, wardrobe, full-length mirror, opening portholes, and reading lights. This cabin also features a hatch to the foredeck, underbed drawers, and high-level lockers.
These cabins are situated around a lower salon and galley, perfect for indoor living and dining. The salon features access to the day head, a large television, and dinette seating, while the galley boasts a 2-burner ceramic cooktop, integrated waste bin, eye-level lockers, a sink, fridge-freezer, underfloor pantry, and a microwave combi oven.
The 45 Targa Open is powered by two standard 880hp Volvo Penta IPS600 DS-440 engines with a 32-knot top speed. For those who want even more speed, twin 960hp Volvo Penta IPS650 D6-480 engines are available as an option.
