The Fairline Phantom 48 is a 49-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge produced by the iconic British yacht manufacturer Fairline Yachts between 2007 to 2011. Compact and high-octane, this stylish and modern vessel features swooping side windows, mullioned hull glazing, a swept-back and open-air flybridge, as well as sharp lines, a Bernard Olesinski-designed V-hull and scintillating performance out on the water. Perfect for coastal cruising in all four seasons, this yacht is rightfully considered to be a modern classic, and garnered a host of nominations for Boat of the Year in its class at a variety of awards ceremonies like the 2009 Asia Boating Awards.
Enjoy al-fresco dining up on the flybridge, where a curving rear sofa traces the lines of a wide, timber-topped table large enough for the whole family to indulge in lengthy lunches or evening oysters. A curving side sofa up front is joined by a mammoth wet-bar station with a beveled wooden prep counter, chilled storage and a hefty Dietrich barbecue grill, while the upper helm will be beloved by pilots who enjoy feeling the rush of the ocean breeze. One level down there is space for a double sunpad with an elevated vantage point out on the foredeck, while a shaded aft-cockpit includes a transom dining sofa and side steps down to a swimming platform robust enough to host a jet-rib.
Guests will discover interiors in satin-finished oak or American cherry after stepping into the main-deck salon through a set of sliding glass doors. A hook-shaped sofa in ivory leather wraps around an extending dining table in high-gloss timber, with a loveseat, a home entertainment system and a glass-framed cabinet across from this to starboard. A couple of steps up leads you to the main-helm, where you will find two leather piloting seats, Sea Star hydraulic steering, bow thruster controls, Lenco trim-tabs, VHF radio, Raymarine E120 multi-function screens, a boat monitoring system and a compass. An atrium-like opening leads down to a light-filled lower galley with speckled granite countertops, a Sharp combination oven, a four-zone Eurokera hob, a fridge-freezer tower and plenty of storage. Amazingly there is also room on this climate-controlled level for three staterooms, with a single or bunk berth to starboard the only cabin to not boast en-suite facilities. A VIP double to the bow features oval portholes, a skylight, a hanging locker and hidden storage, while the full-beam owner’s stateroom amidship impresses with mullioned glazing, mirrored wall panels, a queen-sized bed, bedside cabinets, a large cabinet or side sofa and a lavish en-suite with a ceramic sink and a waterfall shower cubicle.
A swift mover whatever the weather, you will enjoy top speeds of almost 32 knots thanks to a pair of 575MHP Volvo Penta diesel inboard engines. At a cruising pace over 17 knots you can expect a range of around 316 nautical miles, while the yacht’s V-hull makes for the sort of soft ride that is something of a Fairline signature.
