The Cruisers 60 Cantius is a 59-foot luxury motor yacht first launched by renowned Wisconsin-based yacht-building firm Cruisers in 2015. The new Cruisers flagship and the biggest boat ever produced by the brand, the 60 Cantius comes in two distinct forms: one with a coupe-style hood across a single-level main-deck and another with a flybridge perched on top. Other than that, the two boats are identical, sharing sleek looks, a modern and sculptural form, cool and contemporary interiors, dynamic glazing and a free-flowing lay-out. Ideal for all-weather cruising, the 60 Cantius boasts a proprietary hull optimized for long-distance coastal saltwater voyages as well as efficient and speedy pod-drive motors.
The Flybridge edition of this yacht boasts ladder access up to the elevated deck, where a U-shaped transom sofa with backrests and teak-lined tables traces the rear of this level. Across the center of the bridge and covered by a floating hard-top are a pair of wet bar stations with everything from sinks and chilled storage to ice-chippers and outdoor grills. Ahead of this there is twin seating at the raised helm station and a trio of sun-kissed daybeds, two with chaise-longue backrests, enjoying the views up front.
A modern and minimalist foredeck lounge has to be one of the most stylish on the market today. Out here you will find a pair of sunpads with pop-up headrests in sultry beige upholstery, either side of a cup holder compartment. Just behind the sunpads there is also a Portuguese Bridge-style sofa built up against the superstructure, perfect for leafing through your favorite novel. To stern there is a full-beam bathing platform and a transom storage locker, while side steps lead up to a handsome aft-cockpit with a transom dining sofa and an optional wet-bar console with a grill.
Sliding glass doors framed in stainless steel lead into the salon, while a flip-down window can be retracted to connect the aft-galley to the cockpit, where a pair of barstools await. Heading inside you will encounter a galley with sparkling white Corian countertops, a steel double sink, a convection oven, a multi-zone hob and cabinets lined in exotic hardwood. Further forward there is both a leather loveseat and a U-shaped dining sofa with a high-gloss timber table, not to mention a pair of piloting seats at the main helm station. This helm features equipment like trim-tab controls, a Penta joystick, Volvo engine feedback, a pair of multi-function touchscreens, a high-speed compass and a leather-lined steering wheel, not to mention the controls for the yacht’s integrated Polk stereo system. On the single-deck edition, meanwhile, you will also enjoy the added extra of an entirely retractable glazed sunroof that opens up to let the elements enter.
A trio of lavish staterooms across the lower-deck feature widescreen hull glazing, pale oak surrounds, plush carpeting, mirrored wall panels and plenty of breathing room. There is a twin bunk berth to starboard and a VIP stateroom up by the bow with a triple-paned horizontal skylight, a queen bed, convenient storage options and a walk-in closet, while a main-head with a shower cubicle is shared between these two cabins. To the aft there is a full-beam master stateroom with a king-sized bed, a coffee lounge, a walk-in dressing room and a double en-suite with a waterfall shower room, a vanity mirror and two ceramic sinks.
The Cruisers 60 Cantius is powered by twin 725HP Volvo Penta IPS950 diesel pod-drives for top speeds approaching 34 knots. At a smooth cruising pace of 27 knots, you will enjoy a range of 290 nautical miles, while take things a little slower, soak up the sights and glide along at a mere 8.7 knots and this range expands dramatically to 567 nautical miles.
