The Cruisers 50 Cantius is a 50-foot express cruiser yacht that was launched by the iconic Wisconsin boat-building firm Cruisers Yachts in 2017. Sleek, compact and powerful, this is the stylish choice for yachters who wish to get out on the water and explore in comfort. Plenty of outdoor space across the deck makes this boat a great option for sun lovers. A splendid bow-lounge on the foredeck impresses with two single-seater, diamond-stitched sunpads with flip-up backrests either side of a pop-up cocktail table, with cup-holders integrated into the armrests. To aft, meanwhile, there is a teak-lined aft-cockpit with a mezzanine-style sofa, a transom sofa with backrests and enough room for an outdoor dining table and added extras like intuitively placed cupholders and a starboard fridge. Twin side steps to transom lead down to a full-beam swimming platform that is no mere afterthought but a solid piece of engineering 54 inches in length. Robust enough to host a jet-tender with an in-built hydraulic function and a swim ladder, this platform doubles as a water-level lounge boasting a flip-down Kenyon grill built into the stern.
Looking for something a little more shaded? Then head beyond entirely retractable sliding glass doors and into a plush and spacious upper salon that benefits from cresting wave side glazing and an electro-hydraulic sunroof. In here you will enjoy brushed grey oak surrounds, seating in sparkling white leather and, to port, an aft-galley with Corian work surfaces, a two-zone hob, a sink, chilled storage, a microwave and even an icemaker. Ahead of this there is an L-shaped sofa, a U-shaped dining sofa surrounding a bevel-edged, timber-topped dining table and a comfortable piloting seat facing the modern, starboard-side helm station. This dashboard features Penta joystick handling, two Garmin display screens, a leather-clad steering wheel, Seakeeper 6 stabilizer switches, digital throttles and a high-speed compass.
An open, lower-deck lobby ushers guests towards a set of sedate, carpeted rooms on this level, where there is space for up to six overnight guests, making the 50 Cantius a superb option for families at sea. There is a starboard twin bunk berth with storage, a lavish day-head with a shower and a VIP double up by the bow occupying the front portion of the hull, while amidship there is a sprawling owner’s stateroom. This palatial suite boasts masses of timber-lined closet space, a side sofa, a queen-sized bed, a vanity desk, mirrored surfaces, dark timber walls and widescreen windows, not to mention a sophisticated bathroom with a marble-lined shower cubicle.
The 50 Cantius is powered by a pair of 435HP Volvo Penta IPS 600S diesel engines as standard for top speeds of 30 knots and cruising speeds of 24 knots. Perfect for coastal cruising or exploring the inland waterways of Florida or the Great lakes, this yacht has a range of 310 miles at cruising speeds.
