The Cruisers 42 Cantius is a 43-foot express cruiser yacht that was launched by the iconic Wisconsin boat-building company Cruisers Yachts in 2018. An assertive profile with a sharp entry, a curved superstructure, plenty of polished steel and tinted glazing ensure that this yacht will always catch the eye. Though compact in form, this vessel packs quite a punch, boasting powerful engines, a robust hull-form and plenty of modern design and performance interventions.
Lovers of the great outdoors will delight in the expansive and lavish al-fresco lounge areas scattered across the deck of the 42 Cantius. On the foredeck, surrounded by high guardrails, there is a U-shaped bow lounge with two diamond-stitched leather sunpads, a pop-up table and plenty of integrated cup-holders keeping your drinks secure. A quick stroll down the side-decks leads to an open aft-cockpit that can be lined in a teak-effect Amtico sole or waterproofed acrylic, while an optional sunshade extends out from the cockpit roof to provide additional shelter. You will find a large L-shaped transom sofa back here, along with two optional cocktail tables, a wet-bar console and hidden chilled storage. Side steps take you out to the full-beam swimming platform where there is one last surprise waiting in the form of a transom barbecue grill and wet-bar facilities to stern, making for a peerless water-level entertaining space.
Sliding glass doors lead into a main-deck salon with cresting-wave side glazing, a retractable Webasto sunroof and surfaces lined in satin-finished walnut. An L-shaped dining sofa with a table to aft sits directly across from an open galley with solid white countertops, a Kenyon two-zone hob, a microwave combination oven, a fridge-freezer unit, a hidden steel sink and ample storage. Further forward you can expect a leather sofa and a raised piloting chair facing a modern helm station featuring two Raymarine Axiom 12-inch monitors, joystick handling, Volvo throttles, a high-speed compass, VHF radio and superb visibility.
Plush carpeting, horizontal strip glazing, upholstered wall panels, plenty of brushed walnut and mood-lighting await on the spacious lower-deck, where there is room for up to four overnight guests. A private master stateroom sits up by the bow and features a skylight, two cedar-lined closets, a queen-sized bed and an en-suite with a sink, while the VIP stateroom to aft boasts a side sofa, a bedside cabinet and a broad double bed. A main-head on this level features a ceramic sink and an entirely enclosed shower stall.
Twin 370HP Volvo Penta D6 500 IPS diesel pod-drives push the 42 Cantius to top speeds of approximately 30 knots, while at a consistent 22 knot cruising speed you can expect a range of around 230 nautical miles. Kick back and let this beauty ride at an economy cruise of just 4 knots, however, and this range expands to an ambitious 1800 nautical miles.
