The Chris-Craft Catalina 26 is a stunning 26-foot center console built between 2013 and 2019 by Chris-Craft Boats, one of the most legendary boat builders worldwide. Rough-and-ready enough to hunt, struggle with, and gut your prize catch, this boat also has that iconic Chris-Craft panache, with stunning teak inlay and accents. So while this boat is resolutely a sporting vessel, it is also stylish enough to invite friends and family aboard for lazy days out on the water. Though it is no longer in production today, it remains highly popular on the used and charter markets.
Welcoming up to 8 users, the Catalina 26 is a class C boat perfect for exploring rivers, canals, and coastal waters. A serious fishing rig that doubles as an aquatic SUV, this boat is perfect for ferrying your guests to picnic spots, enjoying a spot of diving or snorkelling, or simply dropping anchor for a relaxed al fresco dinner at the bow.
The teak-inlaid swim platform leads directly to a walkthrough transom to the cockpit, where you’ll find a buttery leather seat with diamond stitching facing. Ample in-sole storage allows you to keep your tackle and other equipment. To starboard, anglers will delight at the macerated fish boxes to port and starboard. An aerated 20-gallon livewell will keep your bait fresh enough to entice even the most recalcitrant fish, while rocket-launchers sit behind the helm and rod holders can be found on the gunnels.
The superb, comfortable helm sits sheltered beneath a sturdy Bimini top. A plush double-wide leather seat with a flip-up bolster allows you to pilot the boat as you wish - standing up, or sitting down, this boat offers a smooth, powerful ride. The console features space of a multifunction display, Garmin GPS and is equipped with digital Yamaha gauges, trim tabs, joystick, access to the JL stereo system, and other electronics. A wide, wraparound windshield keeps the spray at bay. Beneath the seat is a cooler, perfect for storing beers or other refreshments.
The social heart of this boat is out on the bow, where a convivial U-shaped seating area. A pop-up table offers plenty of space for wining and dining, and, when not in use, can be lowered and replaced with a filler cushion for more lounging space. Just opposite this space, you’ll see a matching single seat that lifts up to reveal a spacious bathroom - the key to extending your time out on the water.
During its production run, the Catalina 26 offered a range of engine options, among them a single 200HP Yamaha F200 outboard with a graceful cruising speed of 25 knots. That said, if you’re in a hurry or simply want a bit of a joyride, this engine revs up to max speeds of 48 knots. Other engine options included a Mercury Verado 200 outboard and a zippy Yamaha F350.
