The Carver C52 Coupe is a 51-foot coupe-style sports cruiser produced by award-winning Wisconsin-based yacht-building company Carver Yachts between 2017 and 2021. A sharp and tall bow entry and bullet-like aerodynamics suggest plenty of raw power out on the water, while a sleek and swept-back profile with a cutting-edge European feel delivers a dash of cosmopolitan sophistication. Living spaces, however, concentrate on North American standards of finish and amenity for an at-sea experience of utter comfort and luxury.
A modular seating space that can be used as a pair of full-length sunpads sits out on the foredeck, just waiting for guests to soak up the rays and the views. At the very opposite end of the boat there is a shaded cockpit with a triple-width transom sofa and a transom seat, with a built-in gate leading out to a hydraulic bathing platform to stern with a stern-side sports locker and a freshwater shower. Back in the cockpit there’s room for a dining table, while wet-bar facilities include an outdoor grill, a sink and chilled drinks storage.
Sliding glass doors lead into a stylish main-deck salon lined in exotic hardwood, with brushed carbon-fiber surrounds, chrome and steel fixtures, expansive side windows and a glazed above-helm sunroof that opens at the touch of a button, along with a glass mullion Switch Shield roof to aft that turns from clear to opaque in an instant. Upon entry you will notice a walk-in galley with marble-effect Corian counters, plenty of storage, a combination oven, fridge-freezer units, a two-zone hob, a hidden sink and a wine cooler. Ahead of this there are a pair of white leather sofas, one of which hugs a bespoke Hi-Lo table that can be used for coffee or meals. Up front and benefiting from superb visibility out of a sloping windscreen is a starboard helm station with bench seating, power-steering, trim-tab switches, a pair of 7-inch touch-screens, VHF radio, a mounted compass, a Cummins joystick and optional thruster controls.
You will notice the tall dimensions of this yacht from profile, but down on the lower you will fully appreciate this quality, with high-ceilings and masses of space on offer. There is a subdued vibe down here thanks to tan leather wall panels, dark wood surrounds, mood lighting and plush cream-toned carpeting underfoot. A 3-cabin and 2-head layout provides sleeping quarters for up to six overnight guests, with rooms featuring panoramic hull windows with opening portholes and plenty of timber-lined storage. A bunk-berth to starboard shares a vast bathroom with a double-stateroom by the bow, while a full-beam stateroom to aft features a queen-sized bed, a side-sofa and an en-suite with a wet-room shower.
Powered by twin Cummins QSC 8.3 diesel inboard engines, you can expect top speeds of around 31 knots and a smooth cruising speed of approximately 27 knots. A 550-gallon fuel tank gives this sporty vessel a range of up to 268 nautical miles, while a category B hull presents lucky owners with the opportunity to explore up to 200 miles from the shore.
